I forget things very easily but yet there are so many things I want to remember....

my tooth dream
or the feeling that something is really amiss.
my teeth started to misalign a little...
and in my efforts to 'straighten' them and forcing the retainers back on,
one tooth fell out.
The gap was unmistakable.
I let out a horrifying scream
and gladly found myself waking up from this nightmare.
I did a quick search on 'tooth dreams' and this may probably be the closest interpretation I found:
"The next time you dream about losing teeth, before trying to figure out what it means, ask yourself how the dream made you feel. Oftentimes, it is not the dream of the teeth falling out that creates the disturbance to the psyche but the feelings that accompany the dream.
There is often a feeling of helplessness, of powerlessness--the teeth are coming out and there is nothing the dreamer can do to stop the process. Sometimes teeth fall out, sometimes they are simply missing, sometimes they crumble away. Whichever way they make their exit, the dreamer is left with not only a gap in her smile, but a hole in her heart when she awakens.
Tooth loss dreams may also symbolize a fear of abandonment, of being left behind with no recourse. Look at your relationships and see if any of them are leaving you with feelings of insecurity.
Another interesting way of translating tooth loss dreams may be a fear of giving away too much information, a spilling of secrets, or a fear of being lied to."
I don't want to have another tooth losing dream.

my mind in a mess

every traveller's nightmare
the kind which you know you've caught the virus, but it's not yet full blown until your brain cannot function and you cannot move your body out of bed.
So I survived on panadol cold everyday and night.
Dizzy head, watery eyes, painful nose. This is not good at all.
My sleeping time has become earlier as a result - from crazy hours past 2am to right after the clock strikes 12 - which is good.
Woke up with a fright this morning - dreamt that I was back in the hotel, happily checked out, boarded plane and landed and then realised that I had left my luggage in the hotel.
Deep, undisturbed rest is really what I need to get better.

Rain rain go away....
Went facial with Fion today - at Maggie Beauty (http://www.maggiebeauty.com/)
Honestly, for HKD 250, the deep cleansing treatment is really not good - only the HK artiste who endorse it looks extremely good.
I felt like I could do a better job steaming my face, and applying mud mask on my face.
Their service was not fantastic in the first place, and the lady didn't let me know what she's putting on my face at each stage - unlike my therapists at Wellness Village Spa.
I think it's important to interact with the customer, since they're supposedly the pros - who can advise what/how I should take care of my skin. No thank-yous to comments like, 'Wah, your skin very dirty.' I know that already, that's why I'm spending $$ to pay your salary. BLEH.
So we went shopping for skincare products at Sogo CWB thereafter. Women have a tad too many beauty products to choose from - each brand claiming to do wonders to your skin and help preserve your youth.
Some good products Fion recommends:
1. Clinique Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer
2. Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Plus - gel-like mask to put overnight
3. Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil
Ah... if only Emperor Qin did find life's elixir.
We found good food though. XO Cai Tao Kuay. Papaya with Hashima and sago. Steamed egg white with Hashima and bird's nest. 'Tong Baig Laig'-Peanut glutinous balls.
And we did something very naughty after that.
We went to all the jewelry stores along causeway bay to look at engagement rings - and erm, pretended that our bfs are going to propose - so we're checking out the designs to make sure they don't buy something we don't like. =)
So we got free lessons on how to choose a good diamond.
The diamonds and the engagement rings all start to look the same by the time we got to the third shop. =_=
Some of these rings are crazily priced - S$25k! which Eric chin said...'Imagine wat 25k can do for your marriage ...things u can buy for your new house ...much much more practical than a lousy ring that u be too scared to wear out everyday'
Haha, that's true... but diamonds are forever, and a girl's best friend too! ;) Saw from one of the store's booklets that a 75 years anniversary is known as Diamond Anniversary.
You can wear it for 75 years! 25k divide by 75 is only 333 per year and less than S$1 a day! Quite a good investment to make the love of your life happy right? *wink*
Haha, siao liao.

tired body, tired mind
And that I had to squeeze into this carriage/cab vechicle driven by this Chinese uncle who, halfway through the journey, turned into an Indian man.
I remember asking him what he's doing in China...
too much work on my mind + too little sleep = weird dreams

Blithe Spirit

I'm glad that although I've got a blocked nose and a sore throat, I still managed to stick to the plan and went ahead to catch Blithe Spirit with HR.
The show was really quite hilarious and it was a lovely evening out. Something un-routine.
I love to watch drama 'live' - cos the characters look more real and you can really 'feel' them.
Motion pictures are well, just motion pictures although there's a lot more the director can play around with ... the sets, the venue, animation, the angle to capture, lalala...
But theatre drama - what you see is what you get. Scene changes are minimal. The few characters are all who pull the act together. There's just so much magic about theatre drama I love.
Maybe I miss the feeling of being onstage, performing, singing my hearts out, looking out towards the audience but all i see are bright lights... yet I hear them, I feel their gaze, I know they are there... watching... me.
Ah yes, I'm quite the narcissistic drama mama.
I enjoyed every single moment of theatre - whether I'm part of the cast, or the audience (although it's more satisfying being the performer).
Before the curtain draws, I get gibberish, I burp a lot, my teeth chatter, my hair stand.
When the curtain is drawn, I lose myself and get lost in the act. The adrenaline of it all just flows throughout my entire body, head to toe...
and come curtain call, you wish it'd never end. I wish it'd never end.
Last night, I saw passion in the performers and I admire their courage to pursue doing what they really love, in a profession whom many others (at last most of the older generation) would deem not so desirable.
It's the bread and love argument all over again.
And for myself, I think I'm more hungry for bread than love.
I can only reminisce the good old times when my feet swept across the stages of St nicks, nj, nanyang audi, drama centre, kallang and victoria.

I dreamt a bad dream
think i was in some kinda room, hard at work or something, then got one fierce woman (who strongly reminds me of mrs tian) who kept scolding and scolding me for something i have not done. think that's when i broke down and cried. and it's amazing how closely knit ur dreams and ur physical being is.... like what you do in ur dreams can actually make u act physically like that at the same time. some people i know kick in their sleep (while dreaming about playing soccer), my mum talks in her sleep sometimes, my brother snores a little (when he is damn tired and just got back from camp). I wonder what little action do i have when i am sleeping. saw from tv that people drool in their sleep because they sleep with their mouth open. and during sleep, all ur muscles are supposed to be relaxed. Hence, simple logic= open mouth+relaxed muscles+overflowing saliva=DrooL.
alright, enough about dream and drool.
I spoke with a friend whom i have not spoken to for quite some time. He seems to be doing well, got himself a car and (Gasp!) signed up with NIE to become a teacher. 4 yr bond, 2.5k take home pay and school holidays. well, a number of people around me are taking the same route as him too and the government should be happy that their plan is working. This is what i call the public sector crowding out the private sector. anyway, the reason why i mentioned this friend is because he is one person whom i cannot imagine to become a teacher. multiple ear rings, dyed hair and bochup attitude, someone who can pa game throughout the night. But he was determined to be a teacher because he thought the pay is fantabulously well. not because he likes to teach. then again, i may be placing an early judgement on him. Maybe he will become a good and committed teacher who really enjoys teaching. So, i wish him well. :)
