Spoiler :(

I cannot believe i spoilt the surprise. I'm sorry, but I had to check tom's email to search for the address of a contact.
"Hi Tom, this is chingwei here. Poh Chin's boyfriend. We have not met but I have heard lots of fantastic things about you from her. (Not saying this because I need a favor from you)
To get straight to the point, Poh Chin's birthday is on 30/3. I believe she will still be in Hongkong at that time and so I won't be spending it with her.
So, I need your help to get her a dashing male escort to bring her out for dinner on her birthday. No, just kidding. Really, will require your kind assistance to make arrangements to deliver a bouquet of lilies to her apartment on the 30/3. Would deeply appreciate your help here. However do let me know if this will cause any inconvenience, I would then make other arrangements. Thanks, chingwei"
you made me recall why i fell head over heels in love with you.

Inverse relation

Random conversation with Mr. Goh
I: Are you the type who'd buy a bigger house, and get a smaller ring?
Mr. Goh: …. Confirm

I: Hmph. ok. Smaller ring, fewer kids.
Mr. Goh: nb.

And then I start to think further about this equation I came up with
and it doesn't really make sense...

Bigger house - smaller ring - fewer kids >> then why do I need a big house?

So mentally, I changed the equation to
Bigger house - bigger ring - more kids >> then I'd need to find a richer husband,
which leads to this equation
richer husband - bigger house - bigger ring - more kids
but does it equate to more love?
the search for a balanced question never ends.

泰昌餅家

Was happily approached by this tourist couple this morning while on my way to work.
Guy tourist: Mm Goi, ceng man lei zhi dou li gor Tai Cheong hai bin dou mo?
Excuse me, can you tell me where Tai Cheong is?
I: Ooooh... Hai qin min gor dou ce... yew guo ma lou.
ooooh.. it's right in front, have to cross the road.
I will actually walk past Taicheong,
but I was already late for work,
so I was walking on turbo.
Dropped by 7-11 to get my honey chrysanthemum
and saw the couple tourist turning into the wrong lane.
I: Gor gan poh hai qin min... lei cek hang zao dou le.
That shop is in front, you just have to walk straight and you'll see it.
Guy tourist: oooh... mm goi mm goi.
oooh.. thank u thank u.
I: mm sai hak hei.
you're welcome.
:)
I is feel damn proud of my gwong dong wah.
hahaha.
I told Mr Goh that I must have looked local enough
for the tourist couple to ask me for directions
to the egg tart shop.
and then he said
"that's cos your face round round...
they know u must have eaten the egg tarts before."
FAINT.
In any case, Tai Cheong egg tart along Lynhurst Terrace is yummilicious,
especially when it is FRESH out of the oven.
They have Chris Patten (HK's last governor) patronising their bakery too.
and dodo head zee thought Chris Patten's pic was Bill Clinton or something.
Eileen is coming tomorrow!
but I'm so gonna be stuck at work....
Will make sure we make FULL use of this weekend!

'Yes Mum?'

Miss Poon's on her way back to the sunny island, carrying most of my buys from HK for me. I was worried that my luggage would be overweight with all the new items. THANKS Miss Ang AND Miss Poon for carrying my stuff home~~

Had a hearty breakfast this morning before Miss Poon left.

The owner of the cafe (and probably everyone else) thought that Miss Poon is going back to her home town (the philippines), bringing with her loads of things to distribute to her various family members.

It was HILARIOUS. I couldn't stop laughing.

and Miss Poon played along and called me 'Mum'. Hurhur.

I've sorta indicated to boss that I wouldn't mind visiting Manila... although he was slightly concerned about the safety issue... Mr Goh wasn't very keen to let me go too ("Tell boss that he cannot have you all the time, I need you too.").. but I thought it's a good chance for me to visit the place...

if any of you know any friends in manila (preferably conversant in english) and wouldn't mind spending 2-3 days doing street interviews, do let me know =) remuneration amount to be confirmed.

yawn. the cycle of sleeping for 2 hours each night is not doing my eyes and brain good.

Gym Bunnies and the dick at Cannery

Yay! Great workout today!

must thank all the sweeties for making the effort to come down to paragon by 930AM on a saturday! Hope you girls enjoyed the wonderful bodystep class conducted by julian ... :D although I suspect our calves and thighs will ache terribly tomorrow....

We ta-bao-ed lunch and went to Eileen's place (cos the 'ladder' man was coming to clean her leather sofa) and after that.... we decided to GO BACK TO GYM AGAIN!!
wanted to go for another of julian's class but we missed the time, so we stopped over at starbucks for a drink before going for Nike Rock Star Workout. Mich coined us the 'GYM BUNNIES'. The amount of energy we have really surprises me sometimes... just when you say you're tired and want to give up... you push yourself a little bit...and a little bit... and a little bit... and over your limit.

No pics at the gym, cos not very nice to take pics in the changing room, with other people's boobies showing. Hurrr.. only took one with Eileen, while mich was looking at shoes...

Was at Mr Goh's place for dinner... while he was intensely watching the man U vs Everton match, occasionally switching over to the other match, while I... read 8Days.

Popped by the Cannery later at night cos Mr Goh said he would bring me there AND he is the only guy eligible to bring me there. Hurrr. And then he showed me the dick.
It's some structure (for air ventilation?) at the Cannery which Mr Goh thought looks like a dick.

Nothing much's happening at the Cannery... lotsa drinking joints and smoke, and I wasn't really in the mood for a drink. good thing there was a BAZAAR!

Which I didn't manage to get anything from. =_=

Häagen-Dazs was packed, so we went a little further to this other dessert place, which served the BEST apple juice I have EVER tasted. It's FRESH, GREEN and CRISP!!
Can you imagine! Although their menu was a bit confusing...The Ham and Cheese sandwich was good too....
Mr Goh commented that my smile looks contrived... but my smile is my smile is my smile... how different can it get?? Not as if his smile is any different.... and I realise how dark Mr Goh is..... Even our new Fossil watches are black and white!

The Teo family... and the silly Goh

Did the Teo family visit you guys today?

Teo Bay Beow, Teo ToTo, Teo Tao Beow, Teo .. teo.. teo...

Hee Hee.

The Toto numbers are out : 5, 6, 16, 17, 28, 35 and additional number 14.

My mum bought those lucky new year pack ang bao TOto and 4D, one for each of us... and when she tried to match the numbers for all of us... she exclaimed! WAH! three slips combined got 5 numbers correct wor! =_=

but one slip itself has just one or two numbers correct, which doesn't win us any money at all....

oh well... better luck next year!! HUAT AH!

I read/heard somewhere that PIGS this year should go donate blood during CNY.. supposedly good for luck or something like that. I told Mr Goh a few days ago that I want to go donate blood tmr.... and want him to go along with me....

but he hor, doesn't want to donate blood leh!! scared of needle or what....
then i remembered he told me he is slightly anemic. so ok lor, plan is.. i will go donate.. and he shall be there to be my pom pom boy...

the last time i donated blood was years ago! once in JC, once in uni, once when started working. and once, the nurse poked the needle into my arm THREE TIMES, before getting the right vein.

anyway, the plan is to go to HSA BloodBank tmr... until..... my period came.

I ask Mr Goh, "dunno if I still can donate blood or not... will i be losing too much blood?"

then you know what he said?!?!
Can... Can donate blood... and NO NEED NEEDLE SOME MORE!!

YAH... i'll bite through his veins with my metal braced teeth and draw his blood out.

Start 2007 on a GOOD and HEALTHY note

WHHHEEEE!

PoHpOh is going to be a healthy girl in 2007!

I noticed I only took 3 days of MC in 2006. I've been falling sick less often, compared to the days of sniffing and leaking nose in hall and hiding under the blankets. No major falling sick in 2006, which is good. Hopefully 2007 will be even better.

I got myself bottles of Vit E and Vit C and planted the bottles in the office. = )

and signed up for Fitness First membership... for 12 months... I'm planning to make full use of the fact that paragon's fitness is just a stone's throw away from my office... and i will go there during lunch to run on the treadmill for 10 min, followed by sauna/steambath at least twice a week, starting this Friday. (i hope this becomes a habit more than a chore)

plus, Mr goh is also a member...and the outlet at One George street is velly nice! and we get to borrow the dvd/vcds for free... so we're going to become the fittest pair in spore!!! and also the biggest couch potatoes, munching on popcorns and watching dvds.

And... i need to pen this down: Mr goh's 2007 resolution is to get rid of his huge gigantic bombastic 9-month-pregnant-looking tummy.

I'm marking his words.

Don't mess with Mr. Goh

Over the years, I have learnt not to mess with Mr. Goh although I must say he's possibly the most good-natured guy I've ever met. I have seen him blow his top less than 5 times (most often on the soccer field but I only watched him play soccer for like, 2 times in his entire soccer history).

and yes, he has been very tolerant of all my nonsense too. putting up with my 'xiao jie pi qi'.

but tonight, he reallly got MADDDDD.

It all happened like this...

After watching death note, we dropped by the citibank booth cos Mr goh wanted to sign up for some cards and this ah beng looking person served us, happily asked for all the details, told mr goh to send in his cpf form la, what not la.... chatted me up with the 'halloween@zouk' topic...

and we happily went for dinner.

when mr goh still looks like a good nice puppy.....

UNTIL HE FOUND THAT HIS IC IS NOT WITH HIM.

fwah. HOT LIAO.

i told him the citibank guy didn't return his IC to him. so we called up that fella, who insisted that there's no way the IC could still be at the booth, cos if it was, his colleagues would have seen it.

Fwah. even more HOT.

the thought of having to go through the procedures (going to make police report, make time to go to immigration centre to have a new IC done, take new IC photos...etc etc) and the thought of another 100 bucks or so flying away... After spending money to fix the 'lobang' on the car... Fwah... HOT to the max.

until i sat like a little rabbit next to him. watching him speed off on the highway, not saying anything, 'machiam' the silent killer. And my toes curled. my mouth zipped. my fists clenched. praying that on the way back to the citibank booth, he wouldn't meet with another accident again.

Heng the booth still there when we reached ah!

and INDEED, the IC was still on the photocopier when the fella took it to zap. I clearly rememebered he didn't return it to us. Heng the workers were still clearing the booth.

I could hear the 'thud' sound on mr goh's heart as he finally put down a big stone from his heart (Xiong1 kou3 fang4 xia4 yi1 li4 da4 shi2).

(kids, don't do this at home, or anywhere.....)

to the citibank fella.

my bf is a MONSTER.
but he was nice enough to buy some cakes for the workers who helped find his IC. Niceeee...

Jerk it Out

Wind me up
put me down
start me off and watch me go
I'll be running circles around you sooner than you know
A little off center
and i'm out of tune
just kickin this can along the avenue
But i'm alright

(Chorus)
coz it's easy once you know how it's done
you can't stop now
it's already begun
you feel it
running through your bones
and you jerk it out
jerk it out

shut up
hush your mouth
can't you hear you talk too loud?
No I can't hear nothing 'cause I got my head up in the clouds
I bite off anything that I can chew
I'm chasing cars up and down the avenue
But that's ok

(Chorus)

This song "Jerk it Out" by The Caesars really gets into your bones but it's hard to jerk it out. No wonder Apple is doing so well with its mp3 players. Kudos to Apple's marketing department! and I am still waiting for my green apple mini (which i just found out will have my name engraved on it...*thank you brudda*).

The real reason why i want to mention this song is how it made Mr. Goh dance around in the room at 2am last night. Hilarious. Yet another something which i will never forget.
