Panicky Poh

Never trust online reservations, unless they send u a confirmation.

I called to check if the reservation i made for boss is confirmed... and the hotel person told me no such records!! and the hotel rooms are all fully booked! ok, PANIC.

So I quickly looked for alternative hotels to call and make reservations.... and these are all FULLY BOOKED as well!! even all the ATAS ones are fully booked! and they charge exorbitant prices! at least 400 SGD per night! why room rates in India so expensive arh??

Panic panic panic. must have called at least 10 hotels, only to find that there is no rooms available. One hotel actually said they have the presidential suite available if i want it. Of cos I would love to book that, but it's like 800 SGD per night?!?! Kill people put fire ah!!

Heng I finally managed to find one mid-range hotel.... called the hotel up, but the phone reception was damn bad. told me to email him and he will get back to me by tmr. I hope he does man... and i hope the hotel is not too dodgy.

after all this was done, it was already 930pm. haven't had dinner.....

and haven't even booked my own accomodation in delhi!!!!

I don't want to sleep on the streets!!

I'm leaving on sat late afternoon and I still haven't packed my luggage. Haven't settled my accomodation. Haven't set up all the interviews. Haven't got a new laptop for the office/ for me to bring to Delhi. Haven't planned my day trip to Taj Mahal.

Mr goh told me not to be so 'char char' but somebody has already pushed the panic button.

SHIMBASHI @ Paragon

From 2:30-5:30 pm daily, Shimbashi (opposite Spaggedies @ Paragon) serves a whole selection of Japanese dessert with Tea (english, jap) for ONLY 5 bucks!!!

Me and zee had the dessert set (I had Klunch with mr goh earlier that morning) while mich and ruru tried their healthilicious soba.

Was at the mind cafe after that, gggoh and nefnef joined us later.. A pity ruru's friend's game place (Oasis) closed down.... cos I still prefer that location. Although at the mind cafe, there is a plump-er version of jay chou who will explain to u how each game works.

I must say the 'finger' joke was a bit... er...... *speechless*

The hamster roll game was fun! We tried to stack all the pieces on the roll such that none of it will fall off.
Ta-daaaa!

yes, we played cheat and stacked them nicely together in the safest manner. ; )

Mummy's birthday!

Happy Birthday Mama/ Ah Ma!

went to Jumbo Seafood @ Riverside point for lunch. Mum decided to have a ten course meal for ten people when we only have 8 persons there. So, obviously we couldn't finish the food.... and they were coming out so fast, we hardly have time to finish them! Had to stop them from cooking the chilli crab....

my mother 'gave up' when she saw the huge plate of chilli crab.

and cos my teeth was still aching from dental on friday.... I get to have the pincers!! Damn BIG LA!

I told amos that there's no more paul twohill impersonation for him since i've cut my hair....

and then he did this....

Candle blowing time! the waitress asked me how many candles i want.... "one or (starts counting age of the birthday lady)....?"

Of cos One la!

and then to the long-awaited birthday surprise I planned..... Wellness Village Spa MASSAGE!

mum says it's so comfortable and shiok that she fell asleep, leaving a mark on her face where she placed her head....

well, i'm happy that she really enjoyed herself today.... =)

Mr Goh says my new look is not bad. He wants to bite off my cheeks and nose like you do an apple cos they are so ROUND. then he changed his mind, and said maybe look more like big fat strawberries.

Kids don't try this at home again. I wanted to steal a shot of Mr. Goh driving and it turned out that he stole a shot instead.

We saw a purple subaru at the marina area.

Goh: wah, that's a unique colour for a car....

Me: Ya lor, maybe the driver is gay...

Goh: well, let's see if any other cars try to bang its behind.

Win liao. He amazes me like that. :)

Bye bye panda eyes, Hello china dolly hair

Say Hello to the new look. Emily the Strange. China Dolly. Straight Bangs. It's strange how all the hairdressers i go to like to cut my fringe like that. They think it suits my face, but I think it makes it look rounder. And Mr. Peh actually commented that my face look as if it's 'water swell' (shui Zhong; oh well. Hair GROWS.

Say Bye bye to 3 years of hair.

Such an ugly pout. =_=

And say bye bye to panda eyes (hopefully)!

Decided to get the MTM eye care regime, after stopping by their roadshow at Centrepoint during lunch and tried our their eye mask. which really showed results. less fine lines, firmer skin around the eyes... and lighter dark eye circles!
colleagues could tell that one eye had the treatment and the other didn't.

although it's quite a hefty price to pay.... and had a teeny tiny tiff with mr goh over it. Man... not even married yet, and can quarrel over such stuff le.... -faint-

Hope the eye care regime works out man!!

耐心與幽默感

Saw this on the Net today... thought it's so funny and true...

Mobilisation

I heard on the radio there's some mobilisation exercise... calling for Lemon Tree la, Teddy Bear la... and what not.

So, I asked mr goh: "Hey... when do u have to go back? what's your mobilisation code?"

Mr Goh: "I don't have a mobilisation code."

Puzzled, I: "Then how you know when they're calling for you?"

Mr Goh, shrug: "I look out for the Batman sign."

Ah.... yes, and I am cat woman.

Meow......

Was at the national library and there was some designer show going on.

and as we drove past victoria theatre.....I spotted the dim sum dollies!

Felt i was like 'Gou Zai Dui'...hurhur

Do YOU really (don't) Mind?

I MAY be going to abnnland in a couple of weeks or so. Boss actually asked if I have any aversion visiting abnnland(cos some of the associates don't really like going there).

Happily blurted: I don't mind!

This morning, on the way to work, this abnn lady sat beside me. (I don't know why, but abnns always sit beside when i have an empty seat next to me on the bus) She was tok-kin vel-lee loudd-lee. (I had my ear phones on.) Her partner, seated behind her diagonally, was also tok-kin vel-lee loudd-lee in the buzz. I reall-leeee dunch like peeple tok-kin loudd-lee on public transport, especially early in the morning. To make things worse, she was doing the head 'thing' each time she speaks.

Previous morning, another abnn lady sat beside me. I could smell her a thousand miles away. Problem with me is, i'm very sensitive to (strong) scents and i'll feel like it is choking me if it is too strong. I had to breathe thru my mouth, occasionally stealing breaths through my hand-covered nostrils, all throughout the journey.

second thoughts about the exotic abnnland? MAYBE...
