Johnson Duck Rice and Hir Tao Lor (Fish Head Steamboat)

Johnson Duck Rice (Bukit Timah) reminded me of the portions served in Hong Kong. Maybe cos we're having dinner late, I can hardly finish a plate.
Hir Tao Lor (near Kovan) - Yummy.

Gym Bunnies and the dick at Cannery

Yay! Great workout today!

must thank all the sweeties for making the effort to come down to paragon by 930AM on a saturday! Hope you girls enjoyed the wonderful bodystep class conducted by julian ... :D although I suspect our calves and thighs will ache terribly tomorrow....

We ta-bao-ed lunch and went to Eileen's place (cos the 'ladder' man was coming to clean her leather sofa) and after that.... we decided to GO BACK TO GYM AGAIN!!
wanted to go for another of julian's class but we missed the time, so we stopped over at starbucks for a drink before going for Nike Rock Star Workout. Mich coined us the 'GYM BUNNIES'. The amount of energy we have really surprises me sometimes... just when you say you're tired and want to give up... you push yourself a little bit...and a little bit... and a little bit... and over your limit.

No pics at the gym, cos not very nice to take pics in the changing room, with other people's boobies showing. Hurrr.. only took one with Eileen, while mich was looking at shoes...

Was at Mr Goh's place for dinner... while he was intensely watching the man U vs Everton match, occasionally switching over to the other match, while I... read 8Days.

Popped by the Cannery later at night cos Mr Goh said he would bring me there AND he is the only guy eligible to bring me there. Hurrr. And then he showed me the dick.
It's some structure (for air ventilation?) at the Cannery which Mr Goh thought looks like a dick.

Nothing much's happening at the Cannery... lotsa drinking joints and smoke, and I wasn't really in the mood for a drink. good thing there was a BAZAAR!

Which I didn't manage to get anything from. =_=

Häagen-Dazs was packed, so we went a little further to this other dessert place, which served the BEST apple juice I have EVER tasted. It's FRESH, GREEN and CRISP!!
Can you imagine! Although their menu was a bit confusing...The Ham and Cheese sandwich was good too....
Mr Goh commented that my smile looks contrived... but my smile is my smile is my smile... how different can it get?? Not as if his smile is any different.... and I realise how dark Mr Goh is..... Even our new Fossil watches are black and white!

Absolutely LOVE this song!

Absolutely needed some funky music to keep me going on the treadmill. 5km today~

This song is it!

LOVE LOVE ME!

SHOCK SHOCK ME!

Everybody's gonna love today,
love today, love today.
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

I've been crying for so long,
Fighting tears just to carry on,
But now, but now, it's gone away.

Hey girl why can't you carry on, (carry on)
Is it cuz you're just like your mother,
A little tight, like to tease for fun, (tease for fun)
Well you ain't gonna tease no other,
Gonna make you a lover!

Everybody's gonna love today,
love today, love today.
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Girl in the blue with the big bust on
Big bust on,
big bust on.
Wait till your mamma and your
papa's gone,
Papa's gone!
Mamma, mamma papa,
shock shock me,
Shock shock me,
shock shock.

Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
I said,
Everybody's gonna love today, gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Carolina sits on '95,
Give her a dollar and she'll make you smile.

Hook her, book her, nook her, walk away!

Girl dresses like a kid for fun, (kid for fun)
Licks her lips like they're something on them (something on them)
Tries to tell you life has just begun, (just begun)
Now you know she's getting something other
Than the love from her mother

Everybody's gonna love today,
Love today, love today
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Girl in the blue with the big bust on,
Big bust on,
big bust on.
Wait till your mamma and your
papa's gone,
Papa's gone
mamma, mamma papa, shock shock me,
Shock shock me,
shock shock me

Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
[Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

Crash Crashed Crashing Crushed

I always know that there's a possibility that it will CRASH.

And tonight, it CRASHED.

I saw it CRASHING in my own hands, but there was nothing I can do.

All the special dates/appointments on the calendar is gone. All the contacts are gone. My schedule is a clean sheet now and I am CRUSHED.

I'm the kind who needs to have everything organised. I need a plan. I need to know what's going to happen in the next few hours or days. I get jit-jit when things are not going according to schedule.

there are always lessons i never learn. always back up back up back up. even if it's just a tiny pda. =_=

You know you're...

becoming obsessed with exercising and/or the instructor when:

1) you think about getting new gym wear everyday.
2) your sports bras are getting more than your normal bras.
3) you have seven pairs of socks, one for each day.
4) your heart rate accelerates, even before you start exercising.
5) you take your own time to stare, legitimately.
6) you dream about Julian Hee and wake up feeling angry.
7) you cannot wipe that silly grin off your face.

damn.

We deliver. Whatever.

This totally cracked me up on a mid week Wednesday morning.

The Korean love is in the air, man.

Happy Secretaries Day

To all the secretaries (and those who do admin work occassionally like me)... do not try something like this.....

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.
I went downstairs for breakfast, hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, " Happy Birthday! "
and possibly even have a small present for me.
As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone the greeting.
I thought ... well, that's marriage for you, but the kids ... they will remember.
Soon, my kids came downstairs for breakfast, but they also didn't say a word.

So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said :
" Good Morning, boss, and by the way, Happy Birthday ! "
It felt a little better that at least someone remembered.

I worked until one o'clock, when Jane knocked on my door and said :
" You know, it's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your birthday.
What do you say that we go out to lunch, just you and me."
I said : “ Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go ! "

We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go.
Jane chose instead to have lunch at a quiet bistro with a private table.
We had two martinis each, and I enjoyed the meal and her company tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Jane said :
" You know, it's such a beautiful day...
we don't need to go straight back to the office, do we ? "
I responded : " I guess not. What do you have in mind ? "

She said : " Let's drop by my apartment. It's just around the corner. "

After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said :
" Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom
for just a moment. I'll be right back."

" Okay ! " I nervously replied.

Jane went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes,
she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ...
followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers,
all singing " Happy Birthday To You …….. ".

And I just sat there ... on the couch ... all naked !

And that was why I fired my secretary.

retro mod and the chubby who saved my life

Mr Goh thought the weather was perfect for hot steaming ramen-so we went to cuppage's Ohsho Ramen again.

I wasn't really in the mood for food since I just survived a death defying stunt a couple of hours ago. See, I was walking to the HSBC bank and on my way back to the office, I slipped and was going to fall and break my back....

but Chubby saved me.

Chubby is my hp really.

I was holding it in my left hand and while I was slipping, I used it break my fall and somehow managed to bounce back miraculously. No butt touching the ground, no undies showing. I survived a back break. Couldn't imagine what would happen if I really did fall. Ground was super wet from the rain and I was wearing a dress!!

but Chubby was severely disfigured. Another 6 months before I'll say goodbye to this loyal friend. I should treat it with more care from now onwards.

Anyways, the moment Mr Goh met me, he couldn't stop laughing. Cos he said I looked like I walked out from the 1980s.

I need a haircut!

All pink and fluffy

visited sis' booth at Ngee City Open Plaza this afternoon and had nail art done for free! It's some breast cancer society charity fund raising event, and the breast cancer society, being Marie France's adopted charity had a booth at the event too.

I remember watching an episode of the Oprah talk show and it featured this lady who had been through breast cancer (and removed both her breasts) and brain tumour and STILL managed to SURVIVE. AMAZING.

Health is really wealth.

The boys had their share of fun at the fund raising event too, having fished two tanks of guppies each, though i secretly pity the fates of these guppies, especially under the care of the little one. =_=

still gotta make it for work tmr. shall have an early night.

Blithe Spirit

I'm glad that although I've got a blocked nose and a sore throat, I still managed to stick to the plan and went ahead to catch Blithe Spirit with HR.

The show was really quite hilarious and it was a lovely evening out. Something un-routine.

I love to watch drama 'live' - cos the characters look more real and you can really 'feel' them.

Motion pictures are well, just motion pictures although there's a lot more the director can play around with ... the sets, the venue, animation, the angle to capture, lalala...

But theatre drama - what you see is what you get. Scene changes are minimal. The few characters are all who pull the act together. There's just so much magic about theatre drama I love.

Maybe I miss the feeling of being onstage, performing, singing my hearts out, looking out towards the audience but all i see are bright lights... yet I hear them, I feel their gaze, I know they are there... watching... me.

Ah yes, I'm quite the narcissistic drama mama.

I enjoyed every single moment of theatre - whether I'm part of the cast, or the audience (although it's more satisfying being the performer).

Before the curtain draws, I get gibberish, I burp a lot, my teeth chatter, my hair stand.

When the curtain is drawn, I lose myself and get lost in the act. The adrenaline of it all just flows throughout my entire body, head to toe...

and come curtain call, you wish it'd never end. I wish it'd never end.

Last night, I saw passion in the performers and I admire their courage to pursue doing what they really love, in a profession whom many others (at last most of the older generation) would deem not so desirable.

It's the bread and love argument all over again.

And for myself, I think I'm more hungry for bread than love.

I can only reminisce the good old times when my feet swept across the stages of St nicks, nj, nanyang audi, drama centre, kallang and victoria.

Christmas 2006

another super outdated post. A Qtr of the year is already gone!

will post this anyways <3 Since staying home on a weekday is really quite boliao.

=Christmas chalet with Hall Oners=

The part where Sharon's present got swopped-she was getting a miniature gucci perfume but got a super orbiang black waist pouch instead!
And whenever the hall people gathers, there's bound to be booze ... and silly games... and of course, watching people act silly when they are drunk....

I puked that night. =_=

=Christmas eve at Dan Ryan's & St James=
They are not kidding when they say they serve American portions. We could hardly finish our food, so we (or maybe only I) played with them instead.
then some booty action at St James

with some bootilicous babes

Even Fongseng prata shop had the xmas feel going on~

When Christmas bells are swinging above the fields of snow,
We hear sweet voices ringing from lands of long ago,
And etched on vacant places
Are half-forgotten faces
Of friends we used to cherish, and loves we used to know.

I wonder what Christmas will be like this year?

Some christmas gift ideas:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.

would you have thought of this?

creative right?

I always enjoy a creative ad. =D Thanks to yanlin for sharing the video with me.

It makes my sick day at home feels better.
I went to bed last night with a heavy head and a SORE LUMP in my throat.
I woke up feeling the same.
and the SORE LUMP turned into yellow gooey sticky phelgm. DISGUSTING, I know.

and now's really not a good time to take MC, but I really couldn't lift my body out of the bed.

really need time to sleep and just relax and recover by today.

have got exciting plans for the weekend~

Happy Birthday Axel~

Axel's birthday is today, but we celebrated it over the weekend and went to Sakae sushi.

Boy, can these boys eat their sushi.

The moment they sat down next to the conveyor belt, there was no end to the plates of sushi! I probably should bring them to the sushi buffet sometime. I miss those times when going for sushi buffet was such a highlight of the week!

the foodie never dies

As much as I want to refrain myself from indulgence,

I

c a n n o t

d o

i t.
Mr Goh initially thought of going to have chicken rice at Boon Tiong Kee on Sunday night, but he doesn't know where exactly it's located... and we didn't want to risk driving around like headless chicken...

so we spinned by Mr. Bean's....

which probably serves the BEST Carbonara I've ever tasted.
The sauce is not eeky gooey thick and I thought I would be able to finish it all by myself (although it's Mr. Goh's order...) I like the interior 'feel' at Mr. Bean's.... if only they don't have power 98 roaring in the background.
I wanted to bodycombat to fight off the calories on sunday night... BUT julian's bodycombat class tonight was PACKED! FULL!

there was a tag outside the studio saying: This class is FULL. Enter at your own risk. (or sth like that)

I cannot believe it!

Happy Birthday Dr. Poon~!!

Happy Birthday EP~

and CONGRATULATIONS~

now we can look forward to the day when we can:

1) easily get our MCs
2) have all our medical questions answered
3) just call to find out which meds to get at the pharmacies
4) know who are the not-so-good docs to go to
5) maybe....get ourselves hooked up with a dashing doc

we may not have told you this personally (yet) but we are all so PROUD OF YOU~

You know you are capable of great things and you will make such a GREAT doc, one who truly cares for your patients, the one who really has angel wings beneath the white coat. <3

may all your dreams come true, dear.

Looking forward to the next sleepover at your place!

Endorphins and my silly grin

Endorphins (or more correctly Endomorphines) are endogenous opioid biochemical compounds. They are polypeptides produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates, and they resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a sense of well-being.

Another widely publicized effect of endorphin production is the so-called "runner's high", which is said to occur when strenuous exercise takes a person over a threshold that activates endorphin production.

Endorphins are released during long, continuous workouts, when the level of intensity is between moderate and high, and breathing is difficult. This also corresponds with the time that muscles use up their stored glycogen and begin functioning with only oxygen.

Workouts that are most likely to produce endorphins include running, swimming, cross-country skiing, long distance rowing, bicycling, aerobics, or playing a sport such as basketball, soccer, or football or a workout session conducted by Julian.

walked out of the changing room today and he was there and smiled at me. =) the next time there is any indication that he recognises me, i'm gonna pounce on him.... hurhurhurhuhur.

of course.. i'm just kidding ;)

Suddenly I See

Heard this song over the radio today. Didn't realise it was from 'The Devil Wears Prada'- which I really enjoyed watching with the sweeties. =)

"Suddenly I See"

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on her word

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

lyrics from www.azlyrics.com

And Happy Birthday to Sis too!

Too many foodie weekends!

I thought working out 3 times a week can allow me to indulge myself in all the food I want to eat. I was so wrong.

=3 March=
Thomson Prata
I used to eat here often during St nicks days, especially when my uncle comes fetch me from school. We would drop by to have a quick snack on our way home.
I <3 crispy prata.

=4 March=
Jap @ Raffles City
I forgot what's the name of this restaurant, but it's beside the pizza place. The reason why i was looking so gloomy was because I had been at the Suntec travel fair queueing and waiting and queueing and waiting the ENTIRE day. Oh, and I also bit on my ulcer.

=9 March=
Waraku @ Central, Birthday with GGGoh and the pick-and-mix candies
I realised that I've been going to the Starhub Centre's Waraku without knowing it is the Waraku restaurant. I LOVE their FURNACE! The curry katsu don I had that night was not bad too...

GGGoh was such a sweet that night-she got all of us a bag of sweets each, got special meaning for everyone of us some more wor. My sweets included the set of white teeth! (I can't wait to take my braces off!)

=10 March=
ECP Blading and Drive Thru KFC
2 hours of blading... that's my excuse for eating fast food!

=11 March=
Hong Kong Cafe @ Marina
See the two plates of spaghetti? I actually ordered the pork chop one... but the waiter served next table's black pepper beef spaghetti to me, and I ... erh... took a bite.. then realised they got my order wrong. HEE. Mr. Goh's curry chicken is really not bad, although it looks like shit.

=17 March=
Superdog, (expensive) Carl's Junior and The Chicken Rice Shop @ Vivo
Brought the boys out to watch 'Happily Never After' - which turned out to be really crap. Fast food fast food and oily chicken rice after that!

=18 Mar=
The Manhattan Fish Market @ Central

This is the FIRST time Mr. Goh didn't finish his food. We ordered a caesar to start off and some seafood platter for two. We ate and ate and ate from evening sun hang low to sundown AND we STILL cannot finish the food.

=24 March DAY=
Bak Kut Teh @ Rangoon Road

=24 March NIGHT=
Chomp Chomp

=26 March=
Ramen @ Cuppage

=30/31 March=
Birthday indulgence - Rive Guache, Altivo, Thai Express, CHOCZ, Mezza9

=6 April=
Shimbashi Dessert, Steamboat, Junk food and Mochi at Meesh's
We were SUPPOSED to go to the gym after a light tea break at Delifrance. INSTEAD, we settled for Shimabashi desserts! Followed by steamboat eat-all-u-can at meesh's. Highly recommended is the Mochi (30pcs) sold at Bee Cheng Hiang, with 5 flavours (green tea, red bean, peanut, yam and sesame). Everybody loved it. ;)

=8 April=
Basil Alcove and AhBORling
Basil Alcove was featured in 8Days and Mr Goh, being a recent 8Days convert, decided that we should give the joint a try since the reviews were really good. The food was pretty delicious - pretty and delicious. The presentation is similar to the dishes you get at fine-dining restaurants, except that this joint is more like a roadside kopitiam. And anywhere al fresco... I'm BOUND to be bitten by mosquitoes, hence the unglam 'kiao ka' and scratch leg before dinner was served.
Another point to note if you guys want to try out Alcove: you have to make reservations and dinner orders are not taken until it's strictly 6.30pm. Mr. Goh and I were there at about 610pm, but they wouldn't take our orders (except for drinks), which was quite puzzling. A pity they don't serve dessert too, so we had to find our own dessert at liang seah street.

Anyway, point of this post is...

I HAVE PUT ON WEIGHT!

and this is not without proof.

My jeans/pants/skirts feel tighter and the weighing scale doesn't lie.

So, no more foodie weekends! No more snacking in office! More fruits and veggies!

The next few weekends would be gym gym gym weekends!

A walk to remember...

All thanks to my cramps and the lousy weather, the plan to take the boys out didn't happen.

Was curled up in bed for an hour or so, before I finally dozed off. Just as we were talking about bad cramps last night....sigh. I don't usually get such bad cramps... and the 'auntie' comes regularly every month...

so yeah, all plans had to be cancelled... on the last long weekend of 2007.

it could have been a blessing in disguise though... cos I managed to watch this film again....

I was 19 when I watched this film.

Still, it didn't fail to make me cry again tonight.

Love is like the wind. You cannot see it but you can feel it.

and I ABSOLUTELY love this song

SOMEDAY WE'LL KNOW

Ninety miles outside Chicago
I can't stop driving I don't know why
So many questions, I need an answer
Two years later, you're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart
Who holds the stars up in the sky
Cuz true love is just once in a lifetime
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to Atlantits?
What the wind says when she comes
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the ninty-seventh time, tonight

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you
I want to take you to the end of the rainbow
Watch the stars crash in the sea

If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me, tonight?

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you

and it's always nice to know that there's some truth in the movie, as in, it did happened to someone....

and now their story has turned into one which inspired so many others... and touched our hearts too.

Pre-then-post birthday celebrations

So... I was saying that I didn't feel excited about my birthday...

but this birthday surprised me quite a bit. =D

It's true when you're least expecting something, they'll always appear as pleasant (or unpleasant) surprises.

=When the clock struck 12=

The long overdued surprise--Mr Goh unexpectedly dropped by my place with lovely cakes from Rive Guache on Thursday night! I didn't pick up the various give-aways he made that day... he told me his colleague wants to know where I got the Vday cakes for him from, asked me about the different types of cakes available, etc, asked me when I'd be home after tuition... I SHOULD have smelled something fishy, but I didn't. I guess there were too many things to do at work.

=Luncheon=

On Friday, the actual day, (which also happens to be the last day of work for m and wj), we had our own farewell/birthday lunch. Despite all the un/happiness at/about work/one another, we still managed to have a good lunch and a good laugh over AT and our postures at work. Man... I'm a hunchback! I need to make a conscious effort to keep my back straight!

And then some more decent photos. The girls and Peter got me this pair of amethyst shoulder dusters with other semi-precious stones. It's a handmade design by this Japanese lady, Yoko Yamada, who believes that "small things are beautiful". =D

It is believed that amethyst will protect its owner from drunkenness. The ancient Greeks and Romans wore amethyst and made drinking vessels of it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication.

Given my tolerance for alcohol (or the lack of it), we shall see if it's really true or not.

=Dinner Date=

so Mr Goh got confused about which date my birthday falls on... until I need to write it down in 'black and white'...

and the mystery dining venue (which is high and dark) turned out to be Altivo Bar @ The Jewel Box at Mt Faber. Nevermind that it's alfresco, the night breezes were cool AND there were no mosquitoes AND no one was smoking since decent food was served there.

But it was really dark...

and food portions were tiny, but still delicious... maybe good things come in small packages

Mr Goh says the girl on the card reminds him of me... cos of the eyes ^ ^ and the figure. =_= Jewel's peak was really yummy.

and since there was a live band there (who plays really good music)... might as well make a dedication right... <3

so there was a 'Happy Birthday' song which I uploaded earlier, followed by this...we sound like mice and I look drunk (from half a glass of mango margarita)...

and this... SATAYS! $2 per stick! But the meat was damn SUCCULENT! and the KETUPAT was WARM!

And so ends the night of the 30th, when I'm officially TWO AND FOUR.

=Sweeties and Presents=

Presenting to you... the Nike 'Shox Q-Vida' Athletic Dance Shoe! Great for fitness dance and gym workouts ;) I LOVE IT!

Description: Lightweight, synthetic leather lace-up provides responsive cushioning, articulated arch flex and support, ideal for the fitness dancer.

big THANK YOU to the sweeties! then we went shopping for GGGoh's present. ;) I realise we didn't take pics with hf!! and hf, I didn't realise you guys went kino to get the cards!
Dinner was at Thai Express (two days in a row)...craving for spicy food and their lime+watermelon juice + mango salad + four season peas. I can have Thai Express for consecutive days!

Oh, I didn't realise eileen left the Q to get the cake too! What's happening to me?! I'm losing the ability to read the signs! (or maybe cos this time zee managed to keep mum about it) So yeah, the cake was a surprise!

The strawberrilicious chocolatey cake from CHOCZ and my little wishes

Zee took a pic of me with her polaroid cam, which I later showed Mr Goh and he said it reminded him of 周慧敏 Vivian Chow.

Which part? The headband, the hair or the bushy eyebrows?

and we're off to the Mezza9! As usual, eileen ordered this special conconction called Hot and Sexy which tasted REALLLY bad... and she settled for a lesser evil - the Bloody Mary. I thought I'd be more conservative and ordered a Tiramisu martini. It wasn't that bad, in fact, all the martinis at Mezza9 are DAMN power, too strong for me liao. I think ru's the only one who finished her Sakura. The amethyst didn't work for me at all.

=Two Ts=
When I made my wishlist and told Mr Goh I would like a Tiffany, he asked me who is Tiffany...

whether he was pretending or not, I could not tell...

but we went tiffany shopping nonetheless! finally decided on the lock ring (over the beanie ring)... to which Mr Goh asked, but there's no key to the lock?

Oh my dear... YOU are the key... WHEE!

Sis got me the keyring but since my sturdy bow and heart keyring (since 2002!!) is still intact, I'm gonna be a cheat and double up the tag on the keyring as a pendant! WHEE WHEE! ;D (I checked with tiffany today and they don't sell their chain separately! wk!)

=birthday thoughts=
I still DON'T feel 24.

As I've told many of you, I think birthdays are most entertaining when you're still a child. Nothing to fret, parents will take care of the cake, food, desserts, balloons, gifts, cards, confetti and your friends... And you just sit in front of your cake and look like a princess. I probably had about ten or less of this kind of parties.

And when you're older, it becomes just a date to remind yourself that (maybe) you need to learn to be more responsible and act like an adult, etc etc.

I wish something WILL happen to me when it's my birthday, like physically overnight, so you know you are REALLY growing older. Like grow bigger boobs la, grow an inch taller la, eyes grow bigger la, butt becomes smaller la... just some sign you know (note: not ageing signs though!) ... So I can proudly say, I AM A YEAR OLDER!

Or some fairy godmother will come by my bed at night and present me with my birthday certificate, that sort of things...

Cos emotionally, mentally, what not, I don't feel that I'm growing g r o w i n g...

maybe I need to become fully aware of who I really am before I can make a fairer comment about that... :P

Thanks to all who sent me birthday wishes and love!
