I wonder if people believe that Bollywood dance taught by an Indian would be more authentic, or Yoga, for that matter
I just went back to gym after 3 months of inactivity.
Had wanted to join the class,
but the instructor was dressed in leopard prints and looked like she's just escaped from the wild.
She had tiger striped hair to match.
I'm usually not this critical....
but this dance class is something I cannot bear to watch.
I miss naila and julian.

Getting active

Yesterday was Chung Yeung Festival - a public holiday in Hong Kong.
Being the pig that I am, it's time to get my big fat ass moving again. So I happily agreed to Kain's invitation to join him and his friends for a game of badminton at Kowloon sports complex early in the morning. It's been some time since I crossed the harbour and made it to the other side. I had forgotten how long it'd take and ended up being '18 minutes' late (yes, kain counted).
The morning air was chilly - perhaps a sign that autumn is soon to be over. We had macs for breakfast and the guys wouldn't stop making fun of me - how I had asked for 'Fan Kaey' (tomato) instead of 'Kaey zup' (ketchup/tomato sauce). Nb. Kain said he would only have Macs in the morning cos the oil they use is the freshest. Man... who thinks of such things???
We had a couple of matches - won some, lost some. I need to perfect my serve and not keep serving 'char siew' for the other team to 'eat'. :P
Two hours and a blink of an eye later, we packed up and left for more food!

Australia Diary Co. - supposedly serves the BEST scrambled eggs and toast. With the egg mcmuffin in the morning, i had a total of 3 eggs in a day. tsk tsk. So much for trying to be healthy.
Dinner was at Tsim Sa Tsui, indian food. Thank you for suggesting that - i know you saw my whining about missing prata. Although they didn't really have prata... it was good. The curry lamb and the chick peas were delicious. The elevator to the restaurant was kinda scary though - very old school.
And it was nice to meet up with your old time friend Steph -
it meant as much to me as it did to you. :)
In bed, I had difficulty sleeping.
I tried my best to nurse an aching body while my mind was still actively running with thoughts.
And it didn't help that I was walking like a crab / pregnant woman and saying 'ouch' under my breath with every step i take throughout the entire day today.

Journey to the East

Was at East Coast Park
two days in a row

I miss this part of Singapore
nothing seemed to have changed
except for a few new eateries

families still hang out at the beach
teenagers still pitch tents and BBQ
some walk their dogs
others walk with their lovers

Seafood dinner was good
a treat by Mr Goh
'cos he was promoted last month
I miss chilli crab
the last time i had it was when Fion came by to visit

sunday had been planned for catching up lost time
to do up one of my many reports
initially wanted to wake up at 8
but my body ached from combat and jam
11-ish got a call from Dr. Poon
'want to go blading?'

YEAH BABY.

the weather was perfect.

and i miss spending time with Dr. Poon.

we need to do this again. =)

Spinning

Finally made my first visit to the gym after 2 inactive months.

I can barely keep up with the instructor.

I want to be gym bunny again.

I want to shed 5kg in 6 months

but I had a 4 course dinner, and wine

right after 45 min of spinning

30 min of bodyjam

and 10 min of steam

argh.

I hate numbers.

Body.... ATTACK! Weather... ATTACK!

Burning burning burning!
calves!
thighs!
butts!
abs!
tomorrow confirm walk like a crab.
weather is turning chilly cold
and I thought a short sweat it out session would do good
got out of bed this morning
ever so reluctantly
it's too comfy to snuggle and curl up
in this weather
it's a challenge every morning
to take the first step to bathe
(though it's not as bad as compared to the days in melbourne)
weather is such an amazing thing
one day u get the sun
the next day the temp dips
if only singapore has seasons like this!
I thought I would survive the cold
but I finally cannot take it today
I had to get a warmer
now, sitting right next to the warmer
(with the aircon turned on nonetheless)
I close my eyes and imagine myself
in front of a fireplace.
To reward myself,
I bought macs for dinner
I haven't had macs in months
eating junk food is therapeutic
I feel
full and satisfied.

Rubbed the wrong way....

As if the super enthusiastic male at the bodycombat class wasn't scary enough (he was there again tonight), other things severely grossed/freaked me out.

okay, so the super enthu guy was matched with a super enthu girl tonight. Both punching so hard, they can kill each other on the spot. And the super enthu girl knew ALL the steps... so much so she can be the instructor herself. Scary girl.

And then, halfway through the class, I thought I saw the instructor have a hard-on. HOW CAN LIKE THAT?!?!?!
And he'll say things like, oh, oh, give me one more, give me a hug, urgh urgh urgh... those kinda stuff.
TA MA DE UNPRO!

Okay, I know my J back in SG does make noises too, but it DOES NOT sound SE QING okay...

And after class... the other H-O guy was working out at the weights area again, same painful-going-through-hell expression as he pulled with all his might.

And... when I went into the sauna, this lady was rubbing and rubbing herself and arching and making tiny moans. I really buay tahan, and just as I was going to walk out, this obasan walked in and man... gravity takes a heavy toll on women!!!

And to end my hair-raising experience tonight, the white FF towel was stained red patches here and there after I tossed my hair with it.

so PAI SAY.

I wish I won't have nightmares tonight.

FF - here and there

The couch potato lifestyle is not doing good.

When I've got nothing to do after work/dinner, I get glued to the couch with a whole bag of snacks within an arm's reach. I realised how much I miss eating potato chips (BBQ, spicy, tomato, even got Mongkok Sausage flavour!). I can eat a pack every night. A true blue potato eating potatoes.

The feeling when I hit the gym after a month of stagnation felt good.

And the guys in the combat class today were two extremes.

This pair of guy friends (Asian and caucasian) were first timers to the class, standing behind me. And their combat stance/moves were hilarious. Machiam monkeys learning how to punch. Keke.

And then there was this group of guys (late 30s, early 40s) who were punching SO HARD they look like they were going to kill somebody. Is it that stressful at work in HK???

and when I was at the weights corner, this guy was using the cable weights machine. Each time he pulled the weights, his face squeezed damn damn tight and he grinded his teeth. I wanted to laugh but thought it'd be mean... he's probably pulling half his body weight. And... I thought I noticed he had a hard-on =_= Guys should NOT wear tiny shorts to workout.

Anyway, obviously my fitness level fell (again) - don't know how I'm gonna manage to complete the SHAPE run in early sept.

Noticed a few differences btn the FF in SG, and the FF in HK.

1) obviously... the HK instructors were not as entertaining as the one at home.
2) they refused to let me take another towel - "one person one set only." =_= So I didn't cover myself in the sauna today. Muahahahaaaaa
3) No mirrors in the changing rooms!
4) No plastic bags for the dirty workout attire - environmentally friendly, which is good.
5) Instead of encouraging members to workout and use the stairs, they have elevators and escalators (the club is 3-storeys high)
6) A lot more workout equipment, but the studio is not big.
7) Much much bigger beverage/resting area.

Going to Lamma Island for some hiking adventure tmr!

Independent woman

I enjoy being in the office at night alone when I can really get my work done, sit cross legged and blast the music (and sing out loud occasionally). I wonder if I'm a nice co-worker since I can basically handle most things on my own. *shrugs

It doesn't feel like a weekend at all, and that didn't bother me.

It's fullfilling when you wake up early in the day with an itinerary.

- finish last chapter of report
- Nike rockstar workout
- 2.4km run
- back to office to tie up loose ends

Was surprised that apart from these above mentioned activities, I pretty much didn't think of anything else.

Not even Mr Goh (until he called much later in the evening).

So I suppose I can live independently if i want to? Like.. just live for myself, on my own. Be a hermit.

There are so many things to fill my living/waking hours with and I don't necessarily need to share it with somebody. I can do it on my own and still feel... satisfied.

I wonder if it's the effect of the gym and the constant mental reminder that I am strong, I am strong and I turned out to be strong indeed.

It feels terrific. :D

Really a 'Labour' Day

Sprang out of bed at 830am. Shit, I'm late... rushed to office, finished up some stuff and ran out of office by 1045am.

What/Who else would have made me so motivated to get to town so early in the morning.... other than... Mr Toh, or Mr HOT. :D

Two crazy gym session followed. 90 min each. BodyJam vs Nike Rock Star Workout AND BodyCombat BLAST. My legs could hardly kick properly in the last 30 minutes. I must be really crazy to have stayed for the second session.

And to reward myself.... Mr Goh and I went Shimbashi! Soba So GOOD! (We walked a freaking 30 minutes from Cathay to Paragon can, under the hot sweltering sun.)
They've got new desserts on their menu! I lurrrrve their Cream Anmitsu, but decided to try the new addition: matcha cheesecake with ice cream instead. It's now my second favourite! Mr Goh had some Soba thingy...which he had fun dipping it in brown syrup and soya bean powder.

Mr Goh calculated and said we're going to be seeing each other for 4 weeks out of 8 weeks in May and June (since I'm going to HK/GZ and Melb/Syd). Probably the longest time (to date) that we're not seeing each other. So, instead of going to work, I decided that I should probably spend as much time as I can with him and also, give myself a break from work. Quality Work, Quality Life. Shall work EXTREMELY hard tmr then.

We actually wanted to go for a haircut together, but Mr Goh found out that his stylist had quit and he doesn't really trust the others at Kimage. I... I..I... get nervous whenever it comes to haircut... but I seriously need to cut my hair. Eileen suggested that I do it in HK... hmm... will need to give that some thought, maybe?

So Far East shopping it shall be. Shoes Shoes Shoes! I really like the shoes from Gripz. My previous pair of gripz stayed with me since last Good Friday~ but I really need to replace it.. cos it's torn and dirty now. Good comfy shoes are really quite hard to come by for me... I think my feet is weird.

Bought another piece of polka dotted blouse. I've got A LOT of polka dotted stuff. I need to stop. And 3 for $10 necklaces - best bargain of the day. Muahahaa.

Need to stop shopping in Sg, and save up moolah to spend in HK (although the Great Singapore Sale is coming up)!

Mr Goh, on the other hand, is much much much more a rational shopper than I am. He didn't used to ask me to choose colours for him. Tonight, we debated over the colour of his Adidas cap for 30 minutes. Blue or White, this design or that design. Goodness.

I think we've picked up (bad) habits from each other along the way - which is ... quite hilarious. :D

Gym Bunnies and the dick at Cannery

Yay! Great workout today!

must thank all the sweeties for making the effort to come down to paragon by 930AM on a saturday! Hope you girls enjoyed the wonderful bodystep class conducted by julian ... :D although I suspect our calves and thighs will ache terribly tomorrow....

We ta-bao-ed lunch and went to Eileen's place (cos the 'ladder' man was coming to clean her leather sofa) and after that.... we decided to GO BACK TO GYM AGAIN!!
wanted to go for another of julian's class but we missed the time, so we stopped over at starbucks for a drink before going for Nike Rock Star Workout. Mich coined us the 'GYM BUNNIES'. The amount of energy we have really surprises me sometimes... just when you say you're tired and want to give up... you push yourself a little bit...and a little bit... and a little bit... and over your limit.

No pics at the gym, cos not very nice to take pics in the changing room, with other people's boobies showing. Hurrr.. only took one with Eileen, while mich was looking at shoes...

Was at Mr Goh's place for dinner... while he was intensely watching the man U vs Everton match, occasionally switching over to the other match, while I... read 8Days.

Popped by the Cannery later at night cos Mr Goh said he would bring me there AND he is the only guy eligible to bring me there. Hurrr. And then he showed me the dick.
It's some structure (for air ventilation?) at the Cannery which Mr Goh thought looks like a dick.

Nothing much's happening at the Cannery... lotsa drinking joints and smoke, and I wasn't really in the mood for a drink. good thing there was a BAZAAR!

Which I didn't manage to get anything from. =_=

Häagen-Dazs was packed, so we went a little further to this other dessert place, which served the BEST apple juice I have EVER tasted. It's FRESH, GREEN and CRISP!!
Can you imagine! Although their menu was a bit confusing...The Ham and Cheese sandwich was good too....
Mr Goh commented that my smile looks contrived... but my smile is my smile is my smile... how different can it get?? Not as if his smile is any different.... and I realise how dark Mr Goh is..... Even our new Fossil watches are black and white!

Absolutely LOVE this song!

Absolutely needed some funky music to keep me going on the treadmill. 5km today~

This song is it!

LOVE LOVE ME!

SHOCK SHOCK ME!

Everybody's gonna love today,
love today, love today.
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

I've been crying for so long,
Fighting tears just to carry on,
But now, but now, it's gone away.

Hey girl why can't you carry on, (carry on)
Is it cuz you're just like your mother,
A little tight, like to tease for fun, (tease for fun)
Well you ain't gonna tease no other,
Gonna make you a lover!

Everybody's gonna love today,
love today, love today.
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Girl in the blue with the big bust on
Big bust on,
big bust on.
Wait till your mamma and your
papa's gone,
Papa's gone!
Mamma, mamma papa,
shock shock me,
Shock shock me,
shock shock.

Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
I said,
Everybody's gonna love today, gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Carolina sits on '95,
Give her a dollar and she'll make you smile.

Hook her, book her, nook her, walk away!

Girl dresses like a kid for fun, (kid for fun)
Licks her lips like they're something on them (something on them)
Tries to tell you life has just begun, (just begun)
Now you know she's getting something other
Than the love from her mother

Everybody's gonna love today,
Love today, love today
Everybody's gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me,
love love me,
love love.

Girl in the blue with the big bust on,
Big bust on,
big bust on.
Wait till your mamma and your
papa's gone,
Papa's gone
mamma, mamma papa, shock shock me,
Shock shock me,
shock shock me

Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today, gonna love today
[Everybody's gonna love today,
Gonna love today,
Anyway you want to, anyway you've got to,
Love love me, love love me, love love.

You know you're...

becoming obsessed with exercising and/or the instructor when:

1) you think about getting new gym wear everyday.
2) your sports bras are getting more than your normal bras.
3) you have seven pairs of socks, one for each day.
4) your heart rate accelerates, even before you start exercising.
5) you take your own time to stare, legitimately.
6) you dream about Julian Hee and wake up feeling angry.
7) you cannot wipe that silly grin off your face.

damn.

the foodie never dies

As much as I want to refrain myself from indulgence,

I

c a n n o t

d o

i t.
Mr Goh initially thought of going to have chicken rice at Boon Tiong Kee on Sunday night, but he doesn't know where exactly it's located... and we didn't want to risk driving around like headless chicken...

so we spinned by Mr. Bean's....

which probably serves the BEST Carbonara I've ever tasted.
The sauce is not eeky gooey thick and I thought I would be able to finish it all by myself (although it's Mr. Goh's order...) I like the interior 'feel' at Mr. Bean's.... if only they don't have power 98 roaring in the background.
I wanted to bodycombat to fight off the calories on sunday night... BUT julian's bodycombat class tonight was PACKED! FULL!

there was a tag outside the studio saying: This class is FULL. Enter at your own risk. (or sth like that)

I cannot believe it!

Endorphins and my silly grin

Endorphins (or more correctly Endomorphines) are endogenous opioid biochemical compounds. They are polypeptides produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates, and they resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a sense of well-being.

Another widely publicized effect of endorphin production is the so-called "runner's high", which is said to occur when strenuous exercise takes a person over a threshold that activates endorphin production.

Endorphins are released during long, continuous workouts, when the level of intensity is between moderate and high, and breathing is difficult. This also corresponds with the time that muscles use up their stored glycogen and begin functioning with only oxygen.

Workouts that are most likely to produce endorphins include running, swimming, cross-country skiing, long distance rowing, bicycling, aerobics, or playing a sport such as basketball, soccer, or football or a workout session conducted by Julian.

walked out of the changing room today and he was there and smiled at me. =) the next time there is any indication that he recognises me, i'm gonna pounce on him.... hurhurhurhuhur.

of course.. i'm just kidding ;)

Too many foodie weekends!

I thought working out 3 times a week can allow me to indulge myself in all the food I want to eat. I was so wrong.

=3 March=
Thomson Prata
I used to eat here often during St nicks days, especially when my uncle comes fetch me from school. We would drop by to have a quick snack on our way home.
I <3 crispy prata.

=4 March=
Jap @ Raffles City
I forgot what's the name of this restaurant, but it's beside the pizza place. The reason why i was looking so gloomy was because I had been at the Suntec travel fair queueing and waiting and queueing and waiting the ENTIRE day. Oh, and I also bit on my ulcer.

=9 March=
Waraku @ Central, Birthday with GGGoh and the pick-and-mix candies
I realised that I've been going to the Starhub Centre's Waraku without knowing it is the Waraku restaurant. I LOVE their FURNACE! The curry katsu don I had that night was not bad too...

GGGoh was such a sweet that night-she got all of us a bag of sweets each, got special meaning for everyone of us some more wor. My sweets included the set of white teeth! (I can't wait to take my braces off!)

=10 March=
ECP Blading and Drive Thru KFC
2 hours of blading... that's my excuse for eating fast food!

=11 March=
Hong Kong Cafe @ Marina
See the two plates of spaghetti? I actually ordered the pork chop one... but the waiter served next table's black pepper beef spaghetti to me, and I ... erh... took a bite.. then realised they got my order wrong. HEE. Mr. Goh's curry chicken is really not bad, although it looks like shit.

=17 March=
Superdog, (expensive) Carl's Junior and The Chicken Rice Shop @ Vivo
Brought the boys out to watch 'Happily Never After' - which turned out to be really crap. Fast food fast food and oily chicken rice after that!

=18 Mar=
The Manhattan Fish Market @ Central

This is the FIRST time Mr. Goh didn't finish his food. We ordered a caesar to start off and some seafood platter for two. We ate and ate and ate from evening sun hang low to sundown AND we STILL cannot finish the food.

=24 March DAY=
Bak Kut Teh @ Rangoon Road

=24 March NIGHT=
Chomp Chomp

=26 March=
Ramen @ Cuppage

=30/31 March=
Birthday indulgence - Rive Guache, Altivo, Thai Express, CHOCZ, Mezza9

=6 April=
Shimbashi Dessert, Steamboat, Junk food and Mochi at Meesh's
We were SUPPOSED to go to the gym after a light tea break at Delifrance. INSTEAD, we settled for Shimabashi desserts! Followed by steamboat eat-all-u-can at meesh's. Highly recommended is the Mochi (30pcs) sold at Bee Cheng Hiang, with 5 flavours (green tea, red bean, peanut, yam and sesame). Everybody loved it. ;)

=8 April=
Basil Alcove and AhBORling
Basil Alcove was featured in 8Days and Mr Goh, being a recent 8Days convert, decided that we should give the joint a try since the reviews were really good. The food was pretty delicious - pretty and delicious. The presentation is similar to the dishes you get at fine-dining restaurants, except that this joint is more like a roadside kopitiam. And anywhere al fresco... I'm BOUND to be bitten by mosquitoes, hence the unglam 'kiao ka' and scratch leg before dinner was served.
Another point to note if you guys want to try out Alcove: you have to make reservations and dinner orders are not taken until it's strictly 6.30pm. Mr. Goh and I were there at about 610pm, but they wouldn't take our orders (except for drinks), which was quite puzzling. A pity they don't serve dessert too, so we had to find our own dessert at liang seah street.

Anyway, point of this post is...

I HAVE PUT ON WEIGHT!

and this is not without proof.

My jeans/pants/skirts feel tighter and the weighing scale doesn't lie.

So, no more foodie weekends! No more snacking in office! More fruits and veggies!

The next few weekends would be gym gym gym weekends!

Foodie weekend

Mr Goh had been rambling about this famous Bak Kut Teh (BKT) place at rangoon road ever since his colleagues brought him there. It's only open from 6am to 2pm (closed on Mondays), so we thought we'd better go there early in order not to disappoint ourselves.

What turned out to be a good intentioned, good-for-tummy trip, wasn't so fantastic after all. Don't get me wrong... the food was yummy and I'd love to go back there again...

See, we arranged for Mr Goh to come pick me up at 11am, so we could get there and have an early lunch. But I woke up late, so Goh had to come by around 12.

AND we took ONE hour to find the place, cos Mr Goh, with a street directory in the car, did not know how to get there. Throughout the journey, he was asking me for directions.

FIRST of all, I DON'T DRIVE, I can't tell the difference between the PIE and the CTE and the AYE.
SECOND of all, I HAVE NEVER been to that BKT place.
THIRD of all, I'm a history student; so I suck at reading maps.

So, for every wrong turn, he would huff and puff; for every driver who did not give way to him, he would scold them and honk at them. I know it probably isn't fun to be driving for ONE hour, so I just kept my mouth shut.

Finally, we found the place and had to wait for a table. Wait wait wait...

I was really quite hungry already since I didn't have anything that morning. Good that we managed to get a table after 10-15 min. Sat down, and Mr Goh asked me what I wanted to eat...I said i want ZHU JIAO. pig's legs. BUT he ordered BKT and ZHU GAN (pig's liver). Not that i mind zhu gan, cos i love to eat zhu gan too... but it's just one of the small things that irks me.

what followed was just a series of worse things which really ANNOYED me. We were seated for 5 min already... and nobody came to ask us for our orders, nor clear the table for us. So I suggested to Mr Goh that he asked the uncle to come over BUT he refused to budge! He said we've just gotta wait for our turn.

A HUNGRY WOMAN IS AN ANGRY AND MAD AND IMPATIENT WOMAN.

So obviously I wasn't very happy liao. Then after ordering, he realised he's got no cash, (I told him I've got about 20 bucks), and he just left in a hurry to find an ATM, in freaking ulu rangoon road!!! I was so MAD! Immediately after he left, the food came and I asked for the bill (which turned out to be 18 only and I've got 25). It's annoying and silly because we could have asked for the bill first, and if we don't have enough cash, THEN GO FIND AN ATM. Simple logic right or not.... all you do is open your mouth and ask, if you're not sure.

Anyway, one bad thing leads to another, I didn't have my hp with me to call him back. So I waited, and waited, and waited...

the smell of the BKT. the temptation just right there. ARGH.

the boss of the shop came by to ask me why I'm not eating yet. Another uncle came by and asked me why the person still haven't come. The table in front of me came at same time, but already finished their meal.

All in all, I waited for 20 min, until I buay tahan, took out a ten cent coin, left my seat and the food, and used those old-fashioned put-ten-cent-coin-in-dial-phone (thankfully) to call that Mr Goh (see right corner of pic, yellow phone). The phone is like DAMN dusty lor.

The BKT soup and teh had already stopped boiling, but my blood was BOILING TO THE MAX, which explains for the super unhappy I-want-to-kill-you-with-my-stares kinda photos.

I must commend the store's service though... cos the boss changed the BKT and pig's liver for ME, since they've already turned cold. (I later found out that this is the (in)famous BKT shop which refused to open beyond their usual operating hours to serve HK's CEO Donald Tsang and the local media created a big hoo ha over it...)

So all in all, it was just a very annoying lunch. Even give me eat birds nest, abalone, sharks fin, they also won't taste good.

But I want to go back there again.... I love making tea like that. ;D

So after the lunch hoo-ha, we went to One George as planned (stopover at HANS to have a drink and dessert first).

Then to FF. View from the pool...

can see the Singapore Flyer wor! 75% completed!

It would be the largest ferris wheel in the world! 165m in diameter! but hor... singapore flyer... can have nicer name or not?

Anyways, I freaking rode on the cyling machine for ONE HOUR! 20 km! 400 calories! I was pretty impressed with myself, cos originally I only wanted to do 30 min... then thought of going for 45, and then thought, what's another 15 more?

I'm glad I pushed myself....

cos that night we went and fed ourselves like PIGS at Chomp Chomp.

Mr Goh was in such a hurry to leave because we ordered chicken wings too, but the lady hasn't come... and we really can't eat any more!

Plus, it's so stressful to eat at Chomp Chomp's. There's perpetually the seats-problem. And when you finally get one, there are 'vultures' looking over you as you eat, standing as close to your shoulders as possible, it's annoying. I mean, I will also stand next to the table to 'pressure' people to leave their seats... BUT that is only when I see that they're finishing their drinks or sth...

This mother, along with her daughter, stood really close to me. Apparently, we looked like we were finising our dinner... but that's cos the rest of the orders hadn't come yet!! The daughter was kicking my bench lor! I wanted to scream at her already lor! but I wasn't so mean to spit the food onto her face.... :P Bleh.

and to end the night, Mr Goh's mother brought back Black Glutinuous rice soup, with gingko nuts. I SUPER LIKE. =D

I want another foodie weekend!

bodycombat withoutchju is just not the same..... =_=

Monday, March 19, 2007

I'm in Like wifth Ju....

Let me tell you about this boy called Ju.....lian.

He is my Bodycombat and ABT class instructor.

He is very well toned (obviously) but not the chunky hunky bodybuilder type.

He gives clear instructions during class, so I don't do silly things like raise my legs when we're supposed to do punches.

He likes to sing along with the music tracks, which is a good distraction from the pain in my abs.

He likes to smile and I can't see his eyes when he's smiling, but i think he has wrinkles around his eyes ^ ^

His whole body is pouring sweat cos a few droplets fell onto my arms when he was punching next to me during one of the classes.

I suppose he will smell better when he's not sweating.

His classes are just really velly entertaining. I liiikkkke.

He recognises me and my favourite usual spot in the studio (but I suppose he recognises the other regulars too, or because i'm always wearing the same gym outfit to his classes).

He motivates me to kick higher kicks and punch harder punches.

He makes me smile silly during class.

And if he ever gets to know about this entry, I am deadmeat.

HE WILL BE GONE ON HOLIDAY FOR TWO WEEKS!

What am I going to do without him??

I was pretty tempted to ask him where he's going for his holiday after class today, but this auntie went up to him first!

Oh well, he shall continue to be my eye candy at FF. See, no touch.

Muahhahahaa.

As FF's motto puts it, "Motivation is what gets you started, habit(or Ju....lian...) is what keeps me going."

Lip my stockings!

Watching Lost in Translation, the 'Lip my stockings' scene never fails to make me laugh.

LIP MY STOCKINGS! LIP MY STOCKINGS!

Tokyo's night scene looks really exciting. the city is beautiful at night. Mr Goh has a tentative plan to go to japan together end of this year.... don't know if that's going to happen.

watching the show... you'll feel the attractiveness of the unknown, the untrodden roads, the stuff you don't understand, or comprehend.

you wish you know it all, but you don't really want to know it all.

I don't know what i'm talking about.

had cny lunch at Mr Goh's place today, two days after my dental appt. got my braces tightened again and the dentist added another bracket at the back of my tooth. VERY SUPER THE UNCOMFORTABLE AH! my tongue is perpetually touching the bracket, I feel like i've got tongue piercing done.

-AHHHHHHHH-

Told mr goh i can only eat sharks' fin, birds nest, and the like (things that no need to chew, just cut into smaller pieces and swallow kind).....

then his mum really made sharks fin wor. that was probably the only thing i could eat properly... i cannot even eat the sambal prawns (one of my favourites!)

I had to survive on tau hway on thursday. And yong tau hoo, with lotsa tau hoo on Friday. And panadols EXTRA. and trying to position my tongue in such a way it doesn't touch the bracket below when I go to bed. And I couldn't she-pick properly, felt that i'm lisp-ing. (which made me say Lip my stockings, too)

what to do... AI SWEE MAI MIA.

Mr Goh has also been commenting that i'm behaving like a mad woman these few days. He attributes it to my hairstyle, says he feels that long hair no longer suits me anymore since I AM NOT GIRLY AT ALL. The long hair was just a facade to lead him thinking i'm demure and girly and gentle BUT now he says he knows the truth about me.

So I rewarded him a few punches, giving much more force than I thought I could.

He now wants me to stop going for body combat classes.

Hurhurhur. Can you see my 'xiao lao shu'??
