Which Sex and the City character are you?

I am..
60% Carrie
30% Samantha
10% Charlotte,
0% Miranda!

You scored 60% Carrie
Your answers peg you as a Carrie-type, much influenced by the Air Sign qualities associated with Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Like confident Carrie, you're curious and perceptive, always seeking answers and never satisfied with the superficial. An Air Sign influence can lead to indecision and an avoidance of tough issues, like with Carrie and her on-again, off-again attachment to Mr Big. Forward thinking, incredibly intelligent and witty, you exude quirky charm. You'd be utterly bored by someone who's just a pretty face or a hot body - though you don't mind looking and flirting. You're more turned on by an equally smart and funny mate, someone who challenges your mind and makes you laugh. You love to talk, so you need a good listener who's open to playful and eccentric ideas about love and lovemaking.

You scored 30% Samantha
You identify with Samantha's bold and liberated Fire Sign qualities, characteristics associated with the Signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. You're strong, audacious and larger than life - and you take what you want! Sometimes you can even be thoughtless and selfish, as you get so caught up in craving immediate gratification and excitement that you overlook someone else's feelings. Your personal style probably reflects your desires: sleek, low-cut, revealing just a bit more than might be considered acceptable. Watch out that you don't come on too strong, though. You could scare potential suitors off with all your drama. If you seek so much attention, the more basic qualities of the Fire Signs could be burned right out of the picture. Show less skin or cleavage and more of your creativity, your vibrant leadership skills and courageous generosity.
You scored 10% Charlotte
You're a romantic at heart, strongly influenced by the intuitive, profound and sometimes naive Water Signs - Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. You're like a mother, a mystery and a poet all in one. Though on the surface you may seem innocent and all about seeking the good in people, beneath the surface, you hide secret yearnings for intimacy, for attachment and ideal love. You're looking for a knight in shining armour, a soul mate, someone who will complete you and tether you to the earth when you get carried away with your fantasies. You're super-sensitive, soaking up the moods of others; you're free with your emotions, crying at commercials and sad movies. You also provide a shoulder to cry on and open arms for hugs. Be careful that you're not so wide-eyed and trusting that you get taken in by some cunning wolf in sheep's clothing.

You scored 0% Miranda
You chose many of the same answers that Earth Sign, like Miranda, the cynical but pragmatic lawyer, might have chosen. Like her, you don't give your heart up to just anyone. She shies away from a relationship with Steve because he's 'just' a bartender, not something more conventionally ambitious or stable. Those with powerful Earth Sign qualities - characteristics associated with Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn - are cautious in love and seek stability and status over nearly anything else. Earth Signs provide a steady, realistic attitude and they can bring order out of chaos. You're incredibly sensual, and beneath that smart, expensive business suit of yours, you yearn for intimacy. But you are hesitant to give up your material needs, your career ambitions or your responsibilities for a passionate moment that might not turn out the way you'd hope.

)) Over the mOon ((

It's times like these ...
when
I feel so IMMENSELY satisfied.

From NY client:
"Thank you for your excellent service.
We hope to be in touch with you
in the future.
It was a pleasure meeting you and
you should certainly contact me
when you make it to my side of the world."

From boss:
"Well done - sounds like it all went OK.
I take my hat off to you:
your first focus group with
non-English/Mandarin native speakers
on a technical subject
and in the enemy's camp."
I am over the moon.
*******
Took pains to prepare myself for the session:
watching the NY FG session;
doing my homework on the subject matter;
even a 1 hour crash course on how to conduct the ENTIRE session in cantonese.
My palms were wet, my stomach felt uneasy - hours before the session.
But like Tom said,
CHARM them
SMILE
that is your stage.
The participants turned out to be all male,
so I guess that was easy - haha.
I really hope I managed to get some valuable input from these guys.

Had the pleasure to take client out to lunch today
at Crystal Jade at IFC
only to find out that he doesn't take pork
and ALL the xiao long baos/dumplings are ALL pork filled!
Why don't they have shrimp/crab meat ones??
I'm always stressed out whenever I have to take someone out for a meal,
and this has to happen.
Luckily, he enjoyed the food very much.
I think I'm getting better at this,
meeting someone new,
feeling comfortable in his/her company
talking about everything under the sun.
I think the best part is
learning about their experiences in different parts of the world
and sharing yours with them.
New York, Battery Park, Chicago, San Diego,
St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Jaipur, Agra, Taiwan, Bangkok,
Shanghai, Guangzhou, Su zhou, Hang zhou,

Portrait @ the Bund

I had my first portrait drawn today - have always wanted to do that ... but no point doing in Singapore and... the artists in Melbourne/sydney are just too expensive.

So, as I walked along the bund this evening, I was so tempted to stop and get one done so many times - but I didn't...

until...

I saw her

He really drew her so well that I stopped in my tracks.

This is how I looked tonight --- tired, but still wanna 'gek' smile.

This is my portrait

And ... with the artist

(I had a good chat with the group of young artists there, I love talking with the locals - you catch a tiny glimpse of how Shanghai actually treats them...)

Hmm, so yeah, the portrait.

Personally, I don't think I look like that - my eyes... like not so big hor? And I looked sad? Well, I probably felt quite melancholic... It's the same feeling I had when I saw the Taj Mahal, visited the "qing ren qiao" in Taipei, went up taipei 101....

The view can only be this <> fantastic.

Double the enjoyment when you have someone to share it with.

Anyways, I showed Mr Goh and Mr Lim and they both don't think it's drawn like me...

so Mr Lim decided to get creative and draw me another one instead.

I'm gonna exchange his gucci key chain with the one from Lady's street.

More work at the exhibition later today and tmr and the next!

Furniture fairs are not fun to work in!

I hate biscuits

Nobody should think that I want people to feel sorry for me because I am alone in Hong Kong.

I AM NOT ALONE IN HK. I only miss people at home.

I HATE SWEEPING MATTERS UNDER THE RUG.

I HATE RUDE PEOPLE.

I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DO THINGS BECAUSE IT IS THEIR "DUTY AND SERVICE". This shouldn't be the case for those who matter.

And yes, nobody can be a jerk, not even for 5 minutes.

Look past the box of biscuits. That's not the issue. It's only a deadly trigger.

Is it natural to feel low after the highs?

This must be the 'lowest' day in months.
It's those days
when you think in circles;
when you can't lift your heart and spirit;
when every breath translates close to tears;
when you doubt and question,
but can't find the answers
when you really need to have faith
when you need a hug
when you need a personality test to
Get to know yourself better

Your view on yourself: You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for: You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship: You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love: You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education: Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you: You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success: You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of: You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self: You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues.
Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
Really?
The Real You
Here is the analysis:
You've got great self-confidence and you're full of charm. Most guys who get to know you will be attracted to you. You are far from sweet and proper; your intriguing personality fascinates them. Most guys find it easy to fall for a girl like you.

You really care about other people's feelings and are quite serious about the issues that affect your life. You are sincere, and your concern for the well-being of others makes many people want to be your friend.

You are a bright, cheerful and bubbly person. You are thoughtful and considerate, and like to have fun. Everybody feels comfortable around you because of your pleasant nature. When you walk into a room, people's eyes are likely to be drawn to you because of your charm.

Your peers think of you as a fun person, but sometimes you can be a little irresponsible. You can be somewhat childish, and can try to ignore the fact that you will one day need to really grow up and be a mature adult! Perhaps you could start reading good books; they might help you look at the world in a different light. You do want to be taken seriously, right?
I'm reading "Sophie's world" now.

Your boyfriend believes that you are a strong and independent person. Your confidence and cheerfulness make you an attractive person to be around, but sometimes you need to pay more attention to what other people, including your boyfriend, are thinking.
Really?
How self-reassuring.

Independent woman

I enjoy being in the office at night alone when I can really get my work done, sit cross legged and blast the music (and sing out loud occasionally). I wonder if I'm a nice co-worker since I can basically handle most things on my own. *shrugs

It doesn't feel like a weekend at all, and that didn't bother me.

It's fullfilling when you wake up early in the day with an itinerary.

- finish last chapter of report
- Nike rockstar workout
- 2.4km run
- back to office to tie up loose ends

Was surprised that apart from these above mentioned activities, I pretty much didn't think of anything else.

Not even Mr Goh (until he called much later in the evening).

So I suppose I can live independently if i want to? Like.. just live for myself, on my own. Be a hermit.

There are so many things to fill my living/waking hours with and I don't necessarily need to share it with somebody. I can do it on my own and still feel... satisfied.

I wonder if it's the effect of the gym and the constant mental reminder that I am strong, I am strong and I turned out to be strong indeed.

It feels terrific. :D

Foodie weekday!

After a foodie weekend, and days of bloated stomach, Mr Goh suggested that we go to Cuppage Oh Sho Ramen for dinner.

And... being the greedy me, I suggested that we order one Dinner Set ($15) and one Ramen ($10) to share.

The serving for the dinner set is enough to feed two of us la! A bowl of soup and Gyoza (6pcs) comes with the set. The mains itself has two fried ebi, stirfried pig's liver, ketchup on omelette, fried rice and salad in the middle. The plate is as big as the Lao Yu Sheng kinda plate.

We were happily eating the mains and the ramen... until we realised that there's still the gyoza!! We only had one gyoza each before we raised our white flags and had to ta bao it back home.

Indeed, I was a hungry and greedy pig before dinner... As usual... my appetite will increase exponentially when this time of the month comes... It's not good at all!

My birthday is around the corner... but I don't feel excited?

My Visual DNA... what's yours?

Here's what my Visual DNA says of my personality...

MOODS

DREAMER - Always drifting off, their imagination takes control. They have big ideas, and a cool calm manner.

You're a bit of a romantic and like to get back to basics. The expanse of the wilderness is inspiring and you like landscapes that make you feel calm. When it comes to art, you're definitely unconventional. You like to think differently, always from another perspective. You have a good sense of humour. As for music, it's the soundtrack to your world. You've got to grips with downloading and your mp3 is at your hand. It gives you focus and concentration - you might find it hard to switch off. Your choice of treat shows that you really care about your appearance, if you feel good on the outside, you'll feel good on the inside right?

FUN

ESCAPE ARTIST - They are forever slipping off, getting away from the rat race, and recharging those batteries. Independent and thoughtful - they know themselves well.

You love to be far away from your everyday life. You love the sun, and like to live life at a slower pace than most - you know how to take things nice and easy! For kicks, you like to experience life at full volume with the lights on full. You're extremely passionate and emotional, and a bit of an exhibitionist? You express yourself and don't mind who's watching. When it comes to holidays, you reckon they should always be indulgent - a very special treat. You love to be in charge of where you are heading - the freedom of choosing your own direction. What grosses you out? You favour the natural look and can't stand a pumped and plumped, plastic appearance.

HABITS

NEW WAVE PURITAN - They are strict, organised and ever so neat - they practice the art of self-discipline. They like things done simply but with an eye for detail.

Living in a material world you are always flashing the plastic. You like to live for today and not get caught up thinking about tomorrow - hey, that would slow your shopping down. Your choice of drink shows that on the whole you care about your health and make sure you're putting the right stuff in. As for the home, you have very cool and contemporary taste and see yourself as a bit of a trend setter. You like your surroundings to be simple and as stylish as you.

LOVE

LOVE BUG - They are the type to fall in love a thousand times a day. Their feelings snowball quickly, and they are full of passion.

For you love is about long-term commitment, it means devotion and tenderness. When you think of freedom - you think of being in charge of your own direction. The open road and a fill tank can take you pretty much anywhere.

I think it really describes me pretty well!

U think?

unloading the weight on my heart to the web

So.... whatever sneaky happenings last week materialised today. All this while, I knew things will eventually turn out this way. The next two to three months will spell C-R-A-Z-Y.

But I know I will survive, we will survive. I have unknowingly taken a bit more responsibility towards the company than I expected.

Speaking to an ex colleague, I told him about what's going on at work and such. I told him I felt a bit lost, especially since i've witnessed every one of my colleagues leaving.

Then he said, 'actually, I think you're doing well and you enjoy your work. The most important thing is that you enjoy your work. The company gives us a lot of opportunities to handle every aspect of project management. You won't get these kind of exposure in bigger companies, in (insert big consulting company he worked with after he left us), I was not given these opportunities at all. I think the jobs skills required of THE APPRENTICE are similar to what we learnt from working with Peter."

The sweeties also sorted out my thoughts....
"there are different types of people, can perform very well during interviews, can perform well for the daily tasks. you are capable or more."
"you should really be looking forward.... there'll probably be more opportunities for you."

still, i felt restless at work today. The decision to still make it for gym class was a GOOD one. During that 60 minutes, I was only concentrating on easing the pain in my legs and stomach. During that 60 minutes, I manage to really laugh (at my instructor's jokes), feel the sweat trickle down my back and just think of doing that additional squat/crunch/leg raise to make up the count.

Mr goh was around to further sort my thoughts during dinner.

He reminded me that there are two types of people (honest and dishonest) and also that career mismatch is a serious problem. You'll never do well at work if you don't enjoy what you're doing, or is always unhappy about the pay you're getting, if your career expectations are not met and yada yada...

Oh well, I'm not going to think so much liao. My colleagues will start their new lives, while I work my way through mine, the kind of living that I'm still happy with and enjoying, at least for now. There ain't no mountain high enough.....

And thanks girls for keeping me sane.

thank you mr goh for keeping me grounded.

1500 days of walking together...

To see a world in a grain of Sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

Lip my stockings!

Watching Lost in Translation, the 'Lip my stockings' scene never fails to make me laugh.

LIP MY STOCKINGS! LIP MY STOCKINGS!

Tokyo's night scene looks really exciting. the city is beautiful at night. Mr Goh has a tentative plan to go to japan together end of this year.... don't know if that's going to happen.

watching the show... you'll feel the attractiveness of the unknown, the untrodden roads, the stuff you don't understand, or comprehend.

you wish you know it all, but you don't really want to know it all.

I don't know what i'm talking about.

had cny lunch at Mr Goh's place today, two days after my dental appt. got my braces tightened again and the dentist added another bracket at the back of my tooth. VERY SUPER THE UNCOMFORTABLE AH! my tongue is perpetually touching the bracket, I feel like i've got tongue piercing done.

-AHHHHHHHH-

Told mr goh i can only eat sharks' fin, birds nest, and the like (things that no need to chew, just cut into smaller pieces and swallow kind).....

then his mum really made sharks fin wor. that was probably the only thing i could eat properly... i cannot even eat the sambal prawns (one of my favourites!)

I had to survive on tau hway on thursday. And yong tau hoo, with lotsa tau hoo on Friday. And panadols EXTRA. and trying to position my tongue in such a way it doesn't touch the bracket below when I go to bed. And I couldn't she-pick properly, felt that i'm lisp-ing. (which made me say Lip my stockings, too)

what to do... AI SWEE MAI MIA.

Mr Goh has also been commenting that i'm behaving like a mad woman these few days. He attributes it to my hairstyle, says he feels that long hair no longer suits me anymore since I AM NOT GIRLY AT ALL. The long hair was just a facade to lead him thinking i'm demure and girly and gentle BUT now he says he knows the truth about me.

So I rewarded him a few punches, giving much more force than I thought I could.

He now wants me to stop going for body combat classes.

Hurhurhur. Can you see my 'xiao lao shu'??

Seasons change....

One moment in Spring....

The other moment Autumn....

What a mad season, how time flies,
Stepping into the second half of the new year,
before we even realise.

The 3 Fs

I've officially become the 3Fs -- Fairweather Female Fan of World Cup.

Just finished watching the match between England and Portugal. (Although most of the time I was busy looking at the wedding pictures the photographer took that night.)

But I did pay attention towards the end of the match...when the guys had to call for extra time, and fought another gruelling 30 min. And then the penalty shoot out-- which i think is not really fair, since it's more of luck, courage (ability to handle stress) and also playing on the other guy's mistake. One wrong move and you'll send the country weeping. The immense amount of stress weighing on the penalty shooter's foot and the goalkeeper's fingers. HEAVY SHIT. I'd have peed in my pants.

Anyway, dinner earlier was at Sakae at citylink, which I must say serves better sashimi and sushi than the rest of the Sakae outlets. But the sukiyaki beef is still not as good as Sun with Moon's. The wasabe was SHIOK!!

wedding bells ringing...

Nope, not us. =))

Mr goh's sis and jon's. Congratulations!!

I haven't attended weddings since my sister's, which is like 13/14 yrs ago. The most recent one would be mr goh's friend-edmund's, but his is more like a wedding tea party/solemnisation at Sentosa.

Anyway, their Panpac wedding banquet was a simple affair.

The parents were actually the busy ones who were trying to entertain the guests during the cocktail reception. Mr goh's family alone - "the goh clan"- occupied at least half the tables. 14 tables!! That's like at least 140 guests can!! and jon's side were made of up his relatives and both his and yiping's friends. And funny cos on jon's name list were people without names, only identified by the area they lived in. E.g Ang mo kio x4. Bedok x6 etc and he said he doesn't know most of the guests/his relatives very well. which i find quite weird, and thought it's more like the parents' wedding than theirs. I'd love to invite all my close relatives and friends only, cos i know they'll truly be the ones who will be able to share my joy 100% and whom i really want to share my joy with. Then again, thinking back of the 14 tables, maybe not then... it's more of a chinese tradition to hold a wedding banquet and invite ALL relatives and friends. To share the joy? To make an announcement? I don't know...

I'd want wedding tea party too. think that'd be fun. with dancing involved. lighten the mood, get everybody on their feet and laugh and be happy.

And it's right when people say the bride will look her best that day. It's not just appearance wise, but more like the inner glow and happiness emanating from within. Something which can't stop you from smiling, it's just that wonderful feeling which makes you look wonderful tonight. *grins*

finally had the chance to wear the sweetees dress!

will find a chance to wear it when hanging out with you girls too. ;)

while mr goh looks stiff with his coat on. Hur hur. (he says that's cos his jacket pockets got a lot of ang baos... so very heavy!!)

after banquet, headed to Ritz Carlton's chihuly lounge for some drinks. the place has really changed since the last time i've been there. the band has changed, people working there have changed, the look of the menu has changed.. but the drinks haven't change!! which is a good thing cos i love their cocktails!

this is Coco Jambo. Irish cream, kahlua and cocoa. =)Mr goh had ice passionfruit tea and he asked me why the ice is brown... the ice is made of tea, so that when it melts, it doesn't dilute the flavour of the tea! so thoughtful right? the same goes for their ice coffee.

and then there's the band.... 3 guys, 100% singaporean. one guy (mervin, the one looking into the camera, pianist) came over and chatted with us. and then later.. this happened.

Somewhere over the rainbow...Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream...Really do come true...

patiently waiting for that moment too. :)

GRRrrrrRRrrr........

I am feeling Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Is EQ and PR skills that difficult to acquire?

yes, they call the shots, so they can have it their way. but i'm sure there are better ways to arrange things so everyone will be happy?

and yes, i do agree that you can't please everybody. but at least please some of them?

so logically thinking, if i'm not one of those they want to make happy, then i'm probably not important.

and if i'm not important, then why include me in the first place?

so why include me in the first place when i'm not important? so will it matter if i make my presence felt or not? maybe i'm just there to make up the numbers, it's probably more of an obligation. a must do, instead of want to do.

which i truly hope it is not.

which i hope there realllllllllly is something irreconcilable such that the present arrangement is realllllllllly surellllllllly the ABSOLUTE necessary.

i want to be there with a truly happy heart, not one which carries blessings and yet bogged down by immense upset-ness.

but ultimately, I know i'd only be happy when that one decision is made.

Yes, i can be really difficult.

Cage me. Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Reunion of a different kind

It's been a ________ night. I can't describe it, can't find a suitable word to describe how exactly i felt tonight. too many feelings, too many thoughts running through my head. when i first heard the news, i was shocked, then images of lena start to appear in my head.. I remember her in her gymnast leotard, i remember her in her yellow house tee running the track, i remember how uncanny she and her sis look like... how she has that sunshine smile and the ever so pleasant disposition. Although we never really know each other, we do see each other around in school. It's probably the st nicks connection.

st nicks girls of different batches attended, teachers, friends. Her family was very strong, i felt ann was very strong too. i'm sure they are very proud of her, as we all are. she's really a remarkable girl, which makes this even more tragic. I cannot imagine how i'd cope with the loss of a loved one, i don't think i'm that strong. but leen said when the time comes, you'd just have to take up the role, go through all the necessary mechanics and be a strong pillar of support for everyone else around you.

then, we started to think morbid thoughts: how will our own ceremony be like when the time comes? the type of flowers we'd want, the bears to put beside us and the photo.... must be one which shows us having the best time of our lives, beaming with the most megawatt smile. will there be so many people who will care to attend?

what will i be remembered as?

I don't think i've done much in my life so far to mention anything spectacular. should i be achieving more?

who are the five people i'll meet in heaven?

it's ironic how funerals bring together a reunion, how friends, school mates you've not seen for years come together. although the feelings might have changed, the tie is still there, we all share the same memories at one point in time.

Tonight stirred some buried memories in me. I remember how I was there when marc's mum passed away. i remember the heartaches and the tears. i remember that she was a kind lady and i'd never forget that night. I had barely known her for a week or so but i could feel the pain, so sharp, piercing through my heart as i stood beside marc during the cremation. her family wept the hardest I've ever seen. life is cruel like that.

I think i learn very slowly, sometimes not learning at all, that i'd have to treasure all my loved ones before they are gone. But humans are a strange bunch, not everyone can openly express how they feel so deep inside, baring oneself right through the skin.

but i must learn, and tolerate and treasure, before it's all too late.

Tick tock tick tock tick tock.....

It's as if there's a time bomb inside my body. clicking, clicking away.
and it started ticking when Mr goh asked me the same question again
(No, it's not THE question), but rather, he asked if I'd like to do postgraduate some time in the near future. together. overseas. australia most probably.

i'd love to...but...

there's always but.

there are a thousand and one things on my mind which tells me this is not the right time...but but but....

I wish i have the ability and capability to keep my sight firmly on the destination, instead of worrying how I'm going to make it there.

if only life's that simple.

if only i can say i want to do that and pop! solutions appear! pop! money appears! pop! accomodation overseas settled! pop! everything else here is taken care of! pop! pop! pop!

I can sense mr goh is really keen to take another degree, especially if accenture doesn't continue their contract with him after 6 months. and his mother is also constantly asking him if he wants to go overseas .... i'm selfishly hoping that him going away won't happen.

I told him to work for another year at least. I told him that he hasn't experienced enough working lifestyle to fully know what course he wants to take. I told him he's not ready to go back to sch. I told him all that and more, hoping it'd diminish his thoughts. but i didn't tell him how i'd miss him when he's gone. yah, paranoid gf. not exactly all that supporting huh?

conflict.

life gets pretty complicated when you're not living it alone. i'd go ahead with what i want to do in the past, but what i want to do will affect others now. sigh. Can someone make life simpler?!?!

i also have my plans... I have plans to maybe go for my postgraduate after working 2 years, or maybe i won't and i'd join another firm. or maybe... just maybe...

Ironically, for someone like me who loves to plan, i don't really stick to them, especially when i cannot even imagine the outcome. There are so many possibilities! c'mon! it's like the adventure storybooks u read while u were young... To continue the adventure, choose Event A, or choose Event B and each will lead to a different outcome. I always play cheat and peeped at the outcome before choosing the event.

what is the outcome i want to see now?

the clock is ticking...

Lousy rhyme

another weekend passed, always so fast.
No time to catch up lost sleep,
lotsa shopping places to visit!
first up, went for a trim,
which left me with an ugly fringe.
next up, shopping shopping shopping
and got myself some bling-blings!
all cos the sales lady at goldheart is nice,
or i'd just say, "gotta think twice."
dropped by the singapore art museum,
to catch Fiction@Love
not allowed to take pictures,
but i took one nonetheless!

white fluffy horny beast
in a room full of red dots
to symbolise love or killing?
i couldn't settle on my thoughts.
my stomach started to make noise,
so we left before the mural light show
headed to our fav liang seah joint
whose business seemed to have been stolen by the new eateries
popping up along the street!
frog's legs

cereal prawn

and dou miao

and not forgetting my favourite fried you tiao!

and sunday dinner was XO crab beehoon
where there was a very long queue
the place was jam packed when we got there

so we had some rojak to share

and fried baby octopus,

before the main dish was served
(after a long wait of 45 min)

Tadaaaaa! Holland drive blk 40's speciality

but turned out not to be my cup of tea
true enough, the XO smell quite good
and the crab meat's sweet and juicy
but it wasn't as tasty as i thought it would,
if you're not too picky,
it's still decent food...
but soon, i'll want to have chilli crabs!
with deep fried buns to dab!

our relaxing weekend

Mr goh had to work on Sat, so i bummed at home and slept and slept (woke up late and had to finish housework before going out). Lost sleep always require more hours to recover, I noticed. Normal young adult would need about 6-8 hours of undisturbed sleep daily. And when you fall short of that, you'd probably need to sleep twice the number of hours lost before you won't feel sleepy/lethargic again.

Since we've both had less than optimal sleep hours last weekend, this weekend shall be relaxing. I didn't have to work so I woke up early to catch SuperBand in the morning. My votes are going to Mi Lu Bin!!! Their rendition of Jeff Zhang's Guo Huo is Fantabulous! but I'm also watching cos i get to watch Soul dance... reminds me of the days in ModernJazz. After that, i concussed.

So we met later and only had time for dinner. Mr Goh brought me to outback steakhouse, thinking I've not been there before.... but heh, he doesn't know I've been there and done that (i.e. checked out the rather cute waiter- who still happens to be working there).

A must-order from outback. BUSHMAN SCHROOMS. >puts other schrooms to shame. Don't even think about the schrooms burger of KFC.

Time to look at other stuff they have on the menu....

and peekaboo!

Hmm...nice dinner place.. must take nice pictures right! and again, playing with the digicam...

this is RETRO mode.

this is CANDLELIGHT mode. (which effectively made me look like i'm roasting in an oven, with a spastic smile)An overexposed shot.

and MONOCHROME.

and FOOD mode.

JUICY MUSHROOMS. yummy.

and then we dig in. I had ribs on the Barbie, a little hard for my liking. Goh had some Burger Max. and we took two and a half hours to finish everything. I cannot imagine having mains like these every single day of my life. Faint. Another table of angmohs ordered lotsa and lotsa burgers and they finished their meal faster than us! So we tried to sing Guo Huo- the Mi Lu Bin style and Tarcy Su's lemon tree and ya zi and what not, taking time to let our food settle in and digest. :))

Sunday was another relaxing day. just bumming around town. Spinelli's new Citrus Twist is really nice! go try it! Ice blend of pineapple, orange and vanilla, i think. and strawberry cheesecake. double yum.

Some shops have started having sales already, when the GSS officially starts next Friday! Pre-GSS sales, they call it. Cheaterbugs. I won't be surprised if there's gonna be Post-GSS sales. In any case, sale is always GOOD. but it is SO frustrating to see something which I bought less than a week ago put on sale! roar.

The start of GSS also marks my first year anniversary with my current firm. :))
Will try to hang in there for another year, at least. Provided if no one steps on my toes and break my nails.

Ouch.
