I think....
when you put in effort to do something,
even at the 11th hour,
gather all possible resources and skills,
clearly know that you could have done better,
honestly admit that it wouldn't pass the mark,
but still secretly harbour the hope of getting it....
you'll feel like you're left at the darkest end of the tunnel when you didn't get it.
But, you'll sleep, take a good rest, and walk out towards the light.
